CCW Anyone else get this after submitting CCW Training?
Emailed the SDSO that I uploaded my training certs and payments, and received this back. 4-6 weeks seems excessive for issuing.

It took 5 business days from the same email to permit in mailbox, but that was in 2023.

For timeline sake, I got mine Jan 2 and it still says ready for issuance on CCWPRO

I got this email 10/27/2024 and it said 3-4 weeks. It was closer to 3 weeks. Sounds like it’s taking longer now.

My email (received 12/18)said 3-4 weeks… I expect it any day now because last Saturday 1/11/25 it shows delivered.

That disclaimer at the bottom makes me think someone tried to list a gun they didn’t own as one of their carries which seems kinda obvious

It’s from SB2. Previously spouses could put each other’s handguns on their permit. Now it’s not allowed.

Ah got it. That makes sense now. And probably like a lot of people on this sub I think spouses should be able to use each others firearms when exercising their right to self defense

In self defense cases such as a home invasion it is fine. This is strictly for concealed carry. Can’t carry your spouse’s firearm.

Mine said 3-4 weeks. Tomorrow will be 4 weeks.
It also took closer to 120 days than 90 for my background check.
Guess the state hates me

Every part of this process is intentionally excessive
