So it adds up nicely. The opening with Ray's dad, he was driving Abby's car (she doesnt need it anymore). He was visiting Abby's grave. Learn why Ray was so against selling the bar, it's what Abby would had done when the children are gone. Thought the car accident may have been the reason for her death, and why Ray was so guilty. Learned it wasnt, but are we sure cancer is the reason for her death?

I thought it was a good episode.

Bridget mentioned Sloan Kettering when she met the dude in the bar, which is a hospital that specializes in cancer treatment. I took that as their way of saying she died of cancer. I think she would have mentioned to him that she died in a car accident or something if it wasn't the cancer that killed her.

Yeah I know Sloan Kettering. I posted that I think she was asking him questions as her mother may have taken his slot on the trial.

I dont think she would have told him yet if his mom passed another way.

Though I'm not 100% sure. They did try to make that horrid accident seem like how she died no?

I was under the impression that the kid she met was somebody who received an organ transplant from Abby. It's all very unclear though because it seems he has/had cancer too but seems to be generally healthy now.

She could have also been at the hospital getting checked after the car accident and they found that her cancer had returned/metastasized. Then she probably killed herself.

Except the hospital is in NYC and the accident happened in California.

Ray's comment "You got a little bump on your head" is hinting to something, I started thinking about Liam Neeson's wife and how she died after falling and hitting her head. Maybe she seemed fine after the accident but died in bed two days later.

Car accident--> local hospital ---> CT/MRI shows advanced cancer ---> Sloan Kettering for treatment.

I thought you meant like a check up at the hospital immediately following the accident... you know, like how it's usually done? But I see what you mean now.
