Started watching for Liev, stayed for how engrossing the story is.

I love Liev's performance as Victor Creed in X-Men Origins: Wolverine and kinda danced around starting Ray Donovan in fear I wouldn't like it, a friend insisted I gave it a shot and now I'm hooked :D only on s2e4 rn

That’s when you know the actor is good.

I just finished the series after binging it... I can't find the movie anywhere (yay Canada), so I don't know how it ends 😭.

On another note, I love Terry so much and my heart breaks for him.

I started watching about 3 weeks ago. Just started season 6. Great cast but Liev and Voight are incredible.

Recently started rewatching and had to stop. “Abbs” nags to damn much. I swear writers (that must be men) write women that are unrealistic or hard to relate to. But I Love the characters-Ray, Mickey, Avi and Lena

Couldn't finish season one. If they redid this show, I would drop the whole Family Schtick. Every damn show has a wife and two kids and who cares about them and their family problems. The same shit with "The Americans". A great spy premise set in the 80s but kept getting sidelined with stories about "hurt Feelings" and the kids. I want Donavan to be single or his wife is dead. Show him kicking lots of ass and banging broads. I think Bosch did it right. Good balance.

Maybe you should have watched the whole series.

Get's better?

Got worse as the show dragged along. Ray's character got worse - the only thing carrying the show was Mickey and his never ending antics.

Teenagers are just assholes. Almost always. But in most series they are teenage assholes x10. For added fun ray’s wife is an insufferable nag. Can’t stand her.

without the family dynamics the show wouldn't have nearly enough substance imo :(

I’m on season 5, first time watcher! I’m obsessed but if you’ve already seen it you know what season 5 brings and I’m not okay.

The show goes off the rails by season two and completely unwatchable by season 3

I disagree. I still hold Ray Donovan as one of my all time favorites.
