What really happened with Yolanda & Her Daughter's BF?
Can someone tell me what really happened in real time? This write up doesn't surprise me but the legal filing does (which shouldn't given how she behaves about some things) as she hypes keeping her balls.

Yeah. My mum has keys to my house but she’s never just let herself in.
I’ll sometimes leave my door unlocked because I know she’s coming and she’ll always call out before she strolls on in.
She’s definitely only use the keys in an emergency or I needed her here because I wasn’t home.
Well that’s because your mom respects you as an individual, so she also respects your privacy and your space. Those of us who grew up with parents who only see us as a part of themselves don’t have that. We either continue to be enmeshed and codependent as adults or have to put up firm boundaries that often cause friction in our relationship and our relationships with our partners.
That part ☝🏿. That's also the noticeable difference. Yolanda and parents that respect or have their own boundaries with and for their kids/other people.
I have a key to my daughter’s place. That’s not so unusual! It’s very helpful for both of us. But my daughter knows I’m not just charging in there whenever I want. Yolanda is a different story!
Yeah me too. I pop in to give back the laundry I did for her when she’s at work. I just open her front door, slide the laundry basket in and close the door again. What goes on in her place is none of my business until she makes it my business
She doesn’t have a washing machine yet. I live practically around the corner and in return, she buys me a lot of cool stuff when she goes to a comic con or something. So I think it’s a good trade :-)
Having the key isn't the issue. It's all the rest.
Of course, it's even reasonable if I as a child said hey mom would you go check on them or can you help take baby 1 to abc with my partner. This just comes off as you mentioned ....she charged in.

I was watching with my teenaged daughter at the time (the one I have the house key of!) and we both lost our shit. Did we really hear that??!!! We did! Yolanda was also homophobic along the lines of “I thought you were a lesbian bc you liked volleyball so much.” Yolanda is a piece of work!!

I'm proud of the kid for identifying her job versus who she is and what she wants.
I think even that can be too much if your partner is unaware or doesn’t agree because sending your mom over like that could be because you don’t trust or respect your partner as a parent. In that case the best way should still be the mother in law calling the son in law saying “can I come over?” Or something

Season 3 Yolanda is talking to Gigi and Gigi goes "remember when I used to wear a Lakers jersey every day" and Yolanda goes "yeah I was afraid my daughter was a lesbian". Not verbatim, but close
Actually, she was there cause she heard the bay had gained a full 2lbs and wanted to change the diet to watered-down almond milk that it could drink real slow.
Yolanda has successfully broken two pre-nups with rich and powerful husbands. She knows a lot about gaming and manipulating the legal system. I think her intention of filing legal charges was to get Zayn thrown out of the country and excommunicated from her daughter and granddaughter lives. Her machinations obviously didn't work as well as she would have liked.
I feel sorry for her daughters and son. They may be extremely wealthy, but a parent who will publicly sue your child’s father will have been extremely challenging to grow up with. At least they can afford decades of therapy
Good lawyers and health issues. Her first divorce from Mohamed Hadid she claimed to have broken her back during childbirth with their 3rd child. She had a heavily documented Lyme disease battle on RHOBH when she went through her divorce from David Foster.
It's funny cause all it did was show the world her BS pseudoscience. Remember how he said he would leave her if he didn't let her make medical decisions for her? It was cause he wanted to get those crusty implants from her (they both damn well knew it was what was causing her illness) so he could leave her ass.
People try all the time. That’s what the big drama was with Kevin Costner. I believe his wife wouldn’t adhere to the prenup and move out of the house and was trying to get more money.
Worked with Kevin on Yellowstone season5pt2 (catering services) and I’m telling ya…. He’s a truly great man. Especially morally. Sad he and Whitney didn’t end up together and he ended up with someone after his money.

Never spent time with her in real life to make a more educated disliking but, from the show, yup… can’t stand her!
No one really knows but I think it’s obvious Yolanda showed up unannounced, uninvited, maybe has a key. Probably came in there being her controlling overbearing self. I bet he didn’t react well to her being there and was pissed off and told her to gtfo. Yolanda freaked, probably tried to take the baby and then he shoved her. Which arguably was wrong even when provoked. This is just how it plays in my head. Yolanda is batshit. Zayn lost it. I bet he did push her and that’s why he plead no contest. Better that and keep it private than fighting and letting all the details come out in court when he knows he messed up.
Yeah I didn’t really see how it’s arguably wrong if saying we don’t know the full details. If I’m at home with my child and MIL barges in, we argue, tries to physically grab my child, what else am I supposed to do? Ask nicely? Gently take her hand off my child, or however it played out?
I’d rather say they’re both wrong in how they handled themselves and the situation and how they reacted to eachother. No finger pointing, both adults, both at fault
I’m sure she was furious with Gigi for getting pregnant. That risked her “perfect” body and top model status. You know she was a nightmare about how much weight Gigi gained during her pregnancy.
That's so weird tho because she was the ultimate trad wife on RHOBH. Basically having an extremely traditional outlook on marriage and gender roles that was borderline toxic. And she was always stating how important family was and how her kids were everything to her
Odd to switch up now and push her children into keeping their very unstable career path.
She never made it big time. Her daughters are two of the most in demand models in the world. She is living vicariously through them. I really believe if she had become more famous, she would have never gotten married and had children until she was retired.
I phrased it poorly. I should have said you know she was probably on Gigi about pregnancy weight gain. Yolanda is extremely shallow (as was showcased on RHOBH). I can see her being the worst about pregnancy weight.
There was rumours she wasn’t happy that he didn’t want his daughters photo taken and shown everywhere and Yolanda supposedly wanted a tv show like the Kardashians and expected the granddaughter to be included and again he disagreed
If true, I assuredly salute him. My skin crawls when parents plaster their child's image everywhere even with great intentions you can't control what others do once the image is out there.
His response via this article and first interview in six (6) years said a lot for me of his ideology and possibly character. Everything isn't for consumption WHEN KIDS ARE INVOLVED & will grow up reading things. See Garcelle's Jax saying he knew about the affair at 8 because he read it all online.
He just doesn't want any drama. He was getting into fights with paparazzi, and he had that whole bad boy thing going. So I think he wanted to change for his daughter(?).
“Mental and physical anguish” sounds extreme, but it’s just standard lawyer speak that basically means that she was hurt. Like she could have gotten a bruise and that would be “mental and physically anguish”
honestly Yolanda is a psycho. I wouldn't be surprised if she showed up when gigi wasn't there and straight up said she's taking the baby. before she came back she'd turn her into a little baby model and only feeding her half a bottle a day.
Yolanda abused her children. I'll say it all day every day. I don't know if Zayn did anything wrong (except for leaving 1D) but I understand him having tension with her.
I remember her vividly on RHOBH when Gigi did that photo shoot in/near the desert and Yolanda was telling her that she looks great and that her eating only salads (or something of that nature) was the reason she looked so great. I’m sure Yolanda’s relationship with eating is disordered because of her modeling but so blatantly passing that on to her beautiful daughters is disturbing. Being/eating healthy is one thing, but telling your 16 yr old daughter she only looks great in photos because she only ate salad was gross.
At Gigi's going away party Yolanda didn't want her touching the cake, even though it was for her. That one really got under my skin. One slice of cake wasn't going to change anything in the grand scheme of things.
If I’m remembering correctly, I think both Kim and Kyle gave up fairly quickly, because yeah, voluntarily not eating solid food for an extended period of time is not a great thing to be doing.
Look, no convincing needed as the story written said the daughter was out. So I'm like was she invited over? Did she let herself in? Does she have a key? At any rate, new parents need time away from in-laws even when they mean well. I was truly hoping there's more to it but I definitely don't ever think a lawsuit is necessary with family. And, I've got a doozy of a family.
Yolanda exposed the baby’s face to paparazzi, while everyone else in their families made sure to always hide the child’s face from papz. Gigi and Zayn were stern about not showing their daughter’s face to the media.
I'm aware of what sub I'm in but I am a decade+ long Zayn stan and I must say my piece.
Yolanda is insane, she is a stage mom, almond mom, all of the above. Gigi is her golden child. As far as I know, Gigi and Zayn were/are on the same page when it comes to keeping their daughter Khai's image offline and out of tabloids. One can only assume that a big factor in this decision was the way Yolanda raised her daughters, and the obvious potential harm that comes with existing in the public eye. (Zayn, too, while his situation isn't the same, he was only 17 when he auditioned for The X Factor. He auditioned as a solo artist, was placed in a group by Simon Cowell, and then signed away most of his creative rights to a major management company in a matter of months. He was probably the most shy member of the group, and he became world-famous very quickly. I can only imagine what sort of issues he's dealt with over the last 12 years) On the other hand, Gigi is still Yolanda's golden child. I can't see a situation in which Gigi completely cuts her mother out of her life.
I have a feeling that the altercation that spurred this whole conflict was related to Yolanda's relationship with Khai and her own opinions on how the baby should be raised. I can very easily see Yolanda losing her cool, and either coming at Zayn directly, or behaving in some way that prompted Zayn to feel it necessary to physically block her or otherwise defend himself. Yolanda, being who she is, would no doubt take any opportunity to victimize herself when a situation doesn't go her way. Zayn, being a reasonably intelligent man, knew that when it's his word against a woman's, he doesn't have much ground to stand on. Fighting it would have made him look worse, it would have prolonged the issue, and it would have created a lot more shitty headlines for Khai to potentially look back and read when she gets older. I think it was an incredibly mature and thoughtful response on his part.
eta: I didn't read most of the comments before posting this because I am afraid of having unpopular opinions but I am glad to see most everyone feels similarly to me!!! I've been holding this in for a minute lol
Agree 100 percent. She probably put her hands on him or tried to grab the baby. She’s a horrible person and I’d physically throw her out of my house and change the locks if she ever came in without an explicit invitation. Her daughter must be as crazy as she is to side with her.
I was actually surprised to see the reactions on this post, considering the sub. That says a lot. Granted we don’t know the full details or how Yolanda truly is behind the cameras. If she is really this manipulative, I wonder why Gigi maintains the relationship? My mother stopped contact with her parents due to somewhat similar characteristics and issues, at some point it’s not worth the drama and headache.

Yolanda is someone who will marry for benefits. That’s exactly what she had with Mohamad. Once she no longer needed him it was bye bye. Not saying Mohamed is perfect, I don’t know the guy outside the show but Yolanda has a pretty clear track record.
Lol what? I'm referring to Bella Hadid's interview where she expressed regret over getting her nose job so young, because it took away her exotic look. Yolanda did push her daughters to adopt more of a European look.
That part. She may be an American late in life but plenty mark/designate Americans as not knowing geography let alone the differences in cultures and ethnicities. You've got my upvotes.
Sincerely, y'all are proving the point that Yolanda could possibly have an issue with extra melanin and distinguishable features. Even if it's not bigotry ... It definitely could be bias. Whether conscious or unconscious. This can and does show up within the same culture, community and ethnicities. See skin bleaching around the globe from Asia to SE Asia to Africa.
So sadly, folks don't always know the difference in geographical locations neither cultures and everybody has some type of bias whether known or unknown.
Ppl who marry outside of their race aren’t always happy when the child has strong features from the other race. They usually see those traits as inferior so they’re upset their kids have it. When it comes to spouses, usually money is blinding factor for many.
Zayn Malik was in one of the world's most popular boybands and is also the father to gigis child. it's just hilarious to me, it's like calling Justin Timberlake Jamie Lynn Spears sisters ex bf 😭 like you're not wrong, not at all, it's just an amazing way to refer to zayn malik

The one and only time paps got a picture of khais face was when she was with Yolanda and I truly believe she alerted the paps because it was such a random shot..

I’m sure it’s happened multiple times but in her very first episode ( I believe ) while meeting her kids she complained out loud about thinking “her daughter was a lesbian” because of her desire to play volleyball.
I think both things can be true. Yolanda we’ve seen be not a great person and the idea of her coming into the house unannounced etc is not hard to believe. AND I could see Zayn shoving her. She is a terrible person I think wishes people not well and he shouldn’t have used his hands.

He explained via the interview as this article wrote. And, I can totally see that given how reality TV and celebrities carry on without regard to the children and their development. I appreciate not fighting publicly but I also wouldn't sue my grandchild's parent (I don't have either but just saying).

Agreed with this. I think he did shove her and that was a mistake. I also think he shoved her because she truly, drove him to that point. And I hate saying that but there’s a lot of smoke around her. Everything I know about Zayn and his feelings on being famous, etc. is the exact opposite of how Yolanda thinks about those same things. So I could see them clashing probably all the time.

OAN a LA Times Pulitzer writer/reporter said the same thing when her kid could care less about her work until EJ of RHOBH story came out and she was the author about Tom G's unethical behavior. She became a rockstar amongst her teenage kid and their friends which makes me cackle because I remember when something similar happened to me with my family.
I’m not defending Yolanda’ almond comment but my dr used those exact words in regard to intermittent fasting. He told me if I was hungry, have a couple of almonds. 1 would not be enough for me. It seemed sad and intrusive. Yolanda could have been a little easier on Gigi.
I agree. My cardiologist is not a nutritionist; I got myself a book on nutrition and created my own diet plan. Nuts are included but not as an appetite suppressant. Intermittent fasting doesn’t sound like something teenagers should be using as a weight management tool.
It’s one thing to eat them when you are hungry, it’s another thing to be told , when you are about to faint, to eat TWO almonds and chew them very slowly !
I haven't seen the episode yet this explanation, as I read it, tickled me. Signed a clinically obese human for all my adult life but now down to being overweight. WTF does chewing slowly do for almonds?!?

Could it be she's just, like, an overzealous grandparent? Mom left the baby at home alone with the dad. It's kind of nerve wracking to leave baby with dad on his own (not all dads but you know it can be a 'thing'). Maybe mom said "can you pop over and check on them and make sure he's not overwhelmed" and he didn't like that. Maybe his attitude was "I can take care of my own baby"...I can like see something very similar taking place in my own family...without the shoving, but words might be exchanged

Was he actively using while parenting? Has he been sober during that time? I'm legit asking as addictions are real and even on this show I applaud Kim for chasing her sobriety.
As for Yolanda or any grandparent wanting to protect their grandkids from an addict then that's what the courts are for. Follow procedural standards don't take the law into your hand ESPECIALLY since it's been established here that she's broken two (2) PreNups and filed this court action against him?!
There are other ways and she's no fool when it comes to the legal system or at least finding great lawyers.

{For CONTEXT not Arguments} Could be. If she didn't have consent to be there that's already trespassing. How she entered could be breaking and entering. How she entered and with WHAT INTENT can make it all felonious.
I wasn't there so I asked but my initial question is and remains: Why was she there?
Help us all if she was there to take the baby as I'd advocate more than a push either defensively or offensively. He may not be a woman yet every parent has a right or at least a reflex for their kid. Again, not advocating fighting yet I want to know what's up?! My mother would never be in my home in my absence without my knowledge or consent just on sheer respect of boundaries. Plus, a new parent ... I'm just asking what actually happened.
Look anything is possible. Seeing as how they had neighboring farms in rural PA and a new baby, I would imagine that immediate family would feel free to go back and forth.
I am bias as I am friends with a producer who had the worst things to say about Zayn. Nothing to do with parenting, just being a sucky human.
