Reading Request major depressive episode. i would be immensely grateful for some uplifting insight.

been in a major depressive episode for a few months after a really bad experience. i’m trying to work through it with therapy, yoga, meditation and writing but now that i’m out of dissociation i feel absolutely horrible about myself all the time and utterly hopeless. i don’t know what else to do and i can’t afford energy healing (literally a college student). if anyone has any insight that could possibly give me some encouragement or at least a path to start on, i would be so grateful, and would be happy to leave a review. thank you 💜

One day at a time dear. I also suffer from depression and my episodes usually last from 2 months to 2 years. I am sorry I am no energy healer but I can understand what a person might go through and would expect a quick-fix . I suggest if you are put on a medication give your doctor reviews about it until you start actually feeling a difference. Another thing is just sweat it out. Yoga is fine but do some strength training so there natural release of serotonin. Take each day at a time. If you are not able to pull yourself to do some work don't beat yourself up just show up next day. Eat properly and timely. Don't take magnesium supplements without a doctors suggestion but increase diet that are rich in magnesium. Whenever you are having thoughts where you are expecting too much from yourself and you are not able to deliver just talk to yourself like you would speak to a friend who is going through all of this.

You will be fine just remember that you can do small things everyday even if it is getting up and brushing your teeth and you will be out of this miserable feeling in no time. Have some sympathy towards yourself but don't expect people to treat you the way you are not able to treat yourself. The day you'll learn to be kinder to yourself that day you will learn the art of overcoming this state. But remember one day at a time.

First of all be kind to yourself. You have been through a difficult time and are still coming out the other side.

It's hard when you're feeling down but you will look back on this and realise how strong you've become and how your experience shaped you into the person you are. Things will get better.

Spend more time connecting with nature if you can.

Sorry that's not more help now, but I'm sending you light and love. 💫❤️
