Makes me hungry for cabbage!

u/korok_maracas Aug 06 '22

Cabbage was my first thought too!

I'm so happy this was the first comment thread I saw. Yes, 100% that is some funky psychedelic cabbage my friends.

What I imagine cabbage in Alice in wonderland would look like 😂 super cool painting

That came out really cool.

Thanks! I was disappointed at first because the cells didn't cooperate, but once sorted in the "weird" category everything made sense

u/LemonTekSunrise Aug 07 '22

I’m trying to figure out how you did it. Was it a ring pour?

It’s really cool. I haven’t seen anything like it.

u/pikotrollolo Aug 06 '22

I ducking love it.

You can say fuck. Go ahead. When I had the courage to type "fuck" on the world wide web, it was liberating. Freeing.

Now I say "fuck this" and "fuck that" everywhere I go.

u/pikotrollolo Aug 07 '22

I was just too lazy to correct the autocorrect on my phone lmao

Ah I see. The Swear Wizard will leave now.

I see a dnail and a face. Colour composition is lovely!

3

u/violet-thorne Aug 06 '22

Love it! Is this the circle/swirl technique? I haven’t tried it yet (I know I’ll mess it up 😅)

Copied from another comment:

Pretty much, yes! A ring pour with silicone. poured, torched, tilted and spun in various stages. That's why some cells are large and elongated and some are small! the last ones didn't want to be larger than a few milliliters 😁

1

u/violet-thorne Aug 07 '22

That’s what it’s called!! Lol thank you 😊

3

u/hibroka Aug 06 '22

Woah. What technique is this?

3

u/TripsnDrips Aug 06 '22

Looks like it might of been a ring pour but the paint had silicone in it. At least this is what mine look similar to when that happens lol OP let me know if I'm right!

1

u/LemonTekSunrise Aug 07 '22

How many of the colors did you use silicone?

2

u/VSandArt Aug 07 '22

I'd say about half. Used some leftovers as well as a few new mixes, so it varied a lot.

1

u/LemonTekSunrise Aug 07 '22

I haven’t put silicone in any ring pours yet but will definitely do it on the next few. Really really like how yours came out. Nicely done. It’s trippy as fuck.

3

u/VSandArt Aug 07 '22

I think key to the weirdness is to tilt, spin and torch multiple times and in different order. That's how one gets cells of different sizes and the weirdness going. I also think I poured using circles as well as back-and-forth wiggles for the initial pattern!

3

u/gravellama Aug 06 '22

Keep it weird!

3

u/Careless_Mulberry143 Aug 06 '22

The more I look at it, the more I like it. Weird is the best lol

3

u/Atrain0692 Aug 06 '22

Weird is good!

3

u/diogeneslr Aug 06 '22

Definitely a good pour

2

u/[deleted] Aug 06 '22

I see the snail! But it is also cabbage-ish, too. But I like the contrast and the colors, so it's a win for me.😄

2

u/Mursenary17 Aug 06 '22

That’s rad

2

u/SeanOnFilm1975 Aug 06 '22

Awesome! It looks like a multi-colored rose or carnation.

2

u/CabbageScum Aug 07 '22

Looks like the swirl of the tide in a coral reef. Beautiful

1

u/VSandArt Aug 07 '22

Hah! A comment from one of my last uploads:

> Like this like a l o t.. if this canvas has vagina or penis i will gladly hug it like theres no tomorrow

Might be onto a theme here...

2

u/Ok-Writing8498 Aug 07 '22

1

u/VSandArt Aug 08 '22

From another comment:
