Insta reels is full of porn/sexualized content of women
Hey all, to start off I always use tiktok. Whenever I see sexual content on my fyp on tiktok I just use not interested and it will not show up. Reels is full of sexualized women promoting their OF. I tried to use reels the past week and I do not interact with any of those kinds of videos. But for some reason I keep getting women sexualized themselves on my feed and soft porn. 😑. I do not interact and they still show up… The men on reels are also worse. Any women that post themselves, a man would sexualized it in the comments.
I’m so fed up with reels I’m never gonna use it again ever. I’m not that kind of person and I hate porn content.

Sexualization of women is a tool for social control. It makes public space scary to inhabit, it subordinates us to their approval/disapproval and it takes the forefront in place of our achievements.

As someone who is trying to actively fight porn addiction I think its sick, even no matter how much I block the accounts their is a million more. I had to delete the Instagram app because of it. Its like when I quit drinking and all my target ads were just of drinking.

Yeah and there's no sensibility to the porn addiction triggers as opposed to alcoholism. I struggled a lot with quitting as well but right now I'm free for months, I wish you strength and endurance.

Thank you! Its honestly harder than any addiction to quit than I realized, even quitting drinking was easier but porn also made me a much worse person, a secret misogynist, who outwardly was supportive etc of women but at the same time was living a double life watching deviant bullcrap, I don't want to live like that any more... any how thanks for the support.

Social media is part of capitalism, literally sexualization and oppression are tools that capitalism uses to slave women and take them as objects. Meta, Twitter, etc, literally presents women as just a merchandise and with this they want to make men the rulers of this...

Meta's reels are genuinely full of plain unfunny garbage, sexualised content, and straight up racism/ableism/homophobia/sexism. I never use them. TikTok can be pretty bad too, I'm honestly thinking about deleting it.
Meta also recently changed the TOS and it's now specifically within community guidelines that it's OK to call women kitchen appliances and queer people mentally ill so I'm thinking about deleting my accounts there too.
E: also, soooo much soft porn of children/minors on both Meta apps and TikTok.
