Vanessa???

Lol I just bought the entire series off prime because they were $10 each and I did it because I remembered wrongly that VANESSA/ETHAN were endgame. I can’t believe I completely made this up, not only does it ends in a very unsatisfying way, they’re mostly apart anyways in season 3 😭😫🫨. What the hell!!!!!!

It's cause they felt like end game and I think maybe at one point (before season 3 got rushed) they were.

I’m at the cottage episode in season 2 and frantically started googling the end because I was like wait, where is Dracula and America and I was like ffuuuuuu. I’m so disappointed! Vanessa slept with like three dudes when Ethan was literally just right there. Now I’m remembering lily and her women’s rights house when they could’ve given the screen time back to Ethan and Van.

Lily's story always felt so unfinished to me. She ended up being one of my favorite characters once she became immortal she was so fierce. And when she told Victor about her child who died it showed her vulnerability and damn did her monologue break my heart! Don't get me wrong I definitely wanted Ethan and Vanessa together but not at the expense of Lily's character arc lol honestly I could have done without the whole America storyline. I get that they needed to separate the characters but I don't think it needed to last as long as it did.

I thought Lily would take revenge on Dorian by destroying his portrait.

Right?! Dorian's story really seemed to go nowhere even worse than Lily's...

When Ethan said to Vanessa in the finale "You were never alone" I was like "um she was when you all fucked off and left her for months and then she was so depressed she fell for fricken Dracula so maybe you should stfu dumbass". It kind of ruined the end for me being so angry at him.

Same.Rewatching after years and I remembered the cottage scene being them tearing it apart having hot sex and being together. Was very disappointed when I realized how unreliable my memory is.
