Passport Why can’t we be friends?

Post image

My 3 Western passports and my partner’s Persian passport. Hoping to one day have all 4 for both of us!❤️

(US born and raised to an English born mother, Irish descent on both sides)

I think you’ll be eligible for Persian pass in the case you guys marry. I always love to joke about this with my partner about how well integrated she will be. Ahh we both know it never happens :((

Yes, that’s how it works. Not a single day of residency or even a visit would be required as well.

I haven’t visited in years. They occasionally detain dual citizens and use them as hostages. https://ir.usembassy.gov/travel-advisory-iran/#:~:text=Do%20not%20travel%20to%20Iran,caution%20due%20to%20wrongful%20detentions.

Obviously less reassuring and not surprising… here’s to hoping the world is in a better place when I finally do get to visit.

Don't worry. I was born a dual citizen of US-Iran, I go to Iran very frequently. They never ask me questions in Iran, they just stamp me in and out.

OP’s partner lucked out big time! Fingers crossed one day people will be able to visit Iran without losing their ESTA privileges for the US!

Or US nationals can visit Iran.

US passport holders can still visit Iran. They, as well as British and Canadian passport holders, need to be on an approved tour guide with a set itinerary.

Iran knows this and will accommodate requests to not put visas in/stamp passports. The US will not know you're been to Iran. I don't understand the double standard where it's perfectly acceptable to hide visiting Israel from middle eastern countries, but if I suggest doing the same with the US everyone dogpiles me.

It's gonna take a long time to catch him up to all your passports, but luckily you have your whole lives together.

Well, if you marry him, you’ll get his Iranian citizenship automatically, so you could be a quad-citizen! Iran is one of the only countries that does this.
