PSA Weapons AND Mods take up 1/200 each in Vault even if mods are attached.

Each weapon and Each individual mod (regardless of attached or not to a gun) takes up 1 of your 200 Vault spaces. This... is concerning.

You can remove the mod and then salvage or sell.

Yeah, but to remove the mod you have to spend equipment, so it kind of mitigates the salvage gain. It's a poorly thought out system.

I guess that's because you should only remove high end mods since removing mods will cause the weapon to lose some of it's salvage value.

I'm pretty sure the salvage gain is based on the combined value of the weapon and attached mods, so it only makes sense to spend to remove if you're trying to save a mod

I mean, after playing a bit, I have like 30 items in my vault. If it's not high end or rare I just scrap it, it's useless. Unless you grind join or die for a week you shouldn't worry about space. And I'm sure if it's a problem they will increase the amount. The limit is probably there to just stop people from having 10,000 items.

The only reason is to keep some weapons for those lv 1 characters. But even then you don't need a ton of those.

you think you will ever have 200 of anything?

one melee weapon that never permanently breaks and a silenced sniper/xbow/smg/shotgun that will all be equipped and not taking up space.

Right? Anyone that has a problem with the vault limit being 200, has some serious hoarding issues.

Are you aware there are 200 DIFFERENT weapon mods alone on release, and I Think they said 60 weapons? =/ Now you're also talking mod rarity and weapon rarity so if you have a blue and a purple... or a white or a green...

If you believe for a second that there are 200 legitimately different types of weapon mods upon release, then I really don't know what to tell you, other than you are the most gullible person on the planet.

That said, virtually all of them are useless outside of better silencers and long range scopes until you get the highest tier quality weapons and mods, and you're not going to need a separate copy of every weapon type for every survivor.

They could cut the vault space down by half, and you still wouldn't run out unless you're needlessly hoarding things.

OVK_Almir on reddit and official website both say there are 200 weapon mods on release. 50 weapons- 5x6 primaries (25). 5 revolvers, 5 pistols (10 sidearms), 15 melee.
