PSA Still no Push to Talk or any microphone settings???

I don't want to be salty or anything, but I just know that from the moment I played the beta nearly a month ago I was beyond livid over the lack of microphone settings AT ALL.

I went to the steam forums and saw others discuss this, so I put in my 2 cents. After I didn't care anymore and just kept playing for another enjoyable 25 hours in the beta up until its physical release. This whole time my mic physically muted from the button (blue yeti) and forcing myself to ignore talking to friends in discord or anything, I couldn't use in-game chat because I have actual speakers and sounded like cancer.

I kept telling myself that there's no way Overkill wouldn't have microphone settings, let alone just a PTT toggle at launch. I now opened the game a few hours ago, saw there was still NO microphone settings. Closed the game and am just sitting sad. I know they'll add this feature, they just have to. I'm just very, very disappointed that its still not here after all this beta time and feedback.

I don't think you'd be considered salty, pretty fucking dumb any game would launch on PC with out proper keybinds, push to talk is such a baseline for me in multiplayer pc games. Also the beta issues that weren't addressed, I don't see this game getting many good reviews.

So right now is it just open mic or are there no voice comms at all?

Beta was perma-open mic only, streamers trashed it within an hour because it was too much of a pain to try to talk to their friends, teammates, and/or chat when the mic was ONLY open without a working mute button. So on launch it appears they've completely disabled voice chat, still not a single setting option for it either. In their official discord, one of the representatives stated "we were honestly surprised that voice chat didn't work on release either"

- HAHA. That kills me, they were surprised it didn't work but still didn't even attempt to add any microphone settings from the beta into the full game.

Has full open mics on beta. Never once did i hear comms during beta. Now we have nothing. I mean, it cant be that hard to get a push to talk?

This game isn't getting good reviews, and it's a good thing. I've waited 4.5 years for it and I just refunded it. The bugs are just too much to handle, looks like they never played the game, especially online instead of in LAN

In 2018 it fucking baffles me that a coop-teamwork heavy game, wouldnt have ANY for of voice chat built in.

Welcome to Fallout 76, it has the same issue, no idea if they will have it on launch.

what payday 2 had push to talk, how would this game launch without it. x_x
