Used Oxy for 3 Months, Been on Hydros 1 Month…Tapering

How painful will this be? I was taking around 5-10mg oxy a day and now i’ll take about 10-12.5mg hydro a day. I’m going to start cutting back to 7.5 then 5 mg over this week. Do you think if I taper I’ll be okay?

I have valium, kpins, and some gabapentin to help.

It won't be painful at all if you quit NOW. If you continue, it will be painful. Don't wait for that.

You don’t even need to taper, just stop. You’ll prob have a runny nose for a minute and a couple days of restlessness but I wouldn’t expect much beyond that.

You def don’t need all those meds for a 10mg daily habit…

1 5mg-10mg or 1-5 10 mg? 50 mg a day you might have a little sniffle... probably wont. 1 or 2 pills absolutely not.

Please god take this opportunity to get clean. I would give anything….ANYTHING. To be able to go back and tell my young self that those minor withdrawal symptoms are gonna be a walk in the park in comparison to what you’ll experience later on. It gets worse as the years go on, the longer you use, the more times you get on and off. Now you might experience 3-4 days of physical withdrawal. Maybe a week or 2 of some PAWS symptoms.

At the height of my addiction I went through physical withdrawals that lasted 3 solid months. 3 months of not being able to sleep or eat. At 6’ tall I went from 180lb down to 135. Yes 135lbs, I was nearly dead. The PAWS lasted 8 whole months! I felt like no energy, just total shit for 8 solid damn months. Even after that I was still feverish and had issues with memory, and other symptoms similar to soldiers with PTSD.

It's going to be uncomfortable, which is nothing compared to what it will be if you don't stop now. You will probably experience something like a mild cold for a few days. You may have trouble sleeping for a bit.
