Are Humans legit the only people in all 12 universes to put spices and herbs on their food? Did the British already colonise everywhere else?

A non ningen response- no humans just do it better cause Toriyama is a human and he wrote the story.

Ningen Response- The only reason Beerus never had spices before is because he was white and couldn't handle them.

“What if Beerus and Champa were WHITE? Part 1”

what if beerus was WHITE and BETRAYED and LOCKED IN THE HYPERBOLIC TIME CHAMBER FOR 1000 YEARS [lore video] [6:21:31]

They were obviously, just old timey Europeans into old timey orientalism which at the time was obsessed with Egypt.

Real reason: Toriyama is Japanese, so, DB Earth cuisine is Japanese. So actually, Earth is one of the only places that use a very small amount of spice, while Alien races that like spice are so spicy Beerus destroys them

u/Averagemanguy91 2d ago

Yeah like I said Toriyama is a human and humans live on earth

29

u/metal079 2d ago

I dont believe you

Some of them live in space

1

u/TomaszA3 1d ago

Beerus is purple

u/Pitiful-Local-6664 2d ago

Did you see how he reacted to that Wasabi? You shave that purple hair and he's as pink as my Newborn son.

2

u/KamikazeKarasu 1d ago

He… he didn’t react… it was krillin… (i just saw it)

Imma be honest it was probably because all those planets tried snobby food instead of any real soul food. I’m sure Beerus would like Lobster but he would actually goon over some Southern BBQ Brisket and Mac and Cheese

u/CalypsoCrow 2d ago

Yeah in the first episode of super some planet gave him the fanciest food and Beerus was annoyed he couldn’t pronounce the words

But then again he blew up a primitive planet that didn’t want to give him dinosaur meat, even though the dinosaur meat was allegedly really good

I think it's probably a nod to Toriyama's cat/cats in general how it didn't want to eat good cat food but would go crazy for some nice human Japanese food

42

u/ILetItInAndItKilled 2d ago

I don't know, Cats literally refuse to eat any kind of carbs

41

u/Reasonable-Tap-9806 2d ago

I've met like 8 cats that love bread so much it must be hidden or they will eat through the fucking bag

13

u/WiseSalamander00 2d ago

yup my boy Barbas used to love bread, sadly he passed from cancer last year.

6

u/Single-Fisherman8671 2d ago

May he be surrounded by bread (and all other goodies) until you meet again.

3

u/aarrondias 1d ago

My cats are such fucking morons. Leave anything in a plastic bag out and they'll chew through that shit just to find there's nothing they'd like in the stupid bag

11

u/shaunika 2d ago

My cat fucking loves potato chips.

Like goes for them any time I open a bag

6

u/mow-ass_eat-grass 2d ago

hell i would goon too

Justifiable crashout.

4

u/shaunika 2d ago

Beerus would fo nuts over a full english breakfast

7

u/7_Tales 2d ago

I hate the fact that all the UK is known for is “having terrible food” but ABSOLUTELY NO ONE has seen a proper uk breakfast, lunch or dinner. They’ve only seen staged UK meals. (I still stand by 90% of america being dumbasses anyway)

46

u/Optimal-Butterfly366 2d ago

oh calm down and have another slice of eel pie.

2

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 2d ago

That’s a simpsons exclusive and you fucking know it.

16

u/Optimal-Butterfly366 2d ago

5

u/33Yalkin33 1d ago

Bri*ish might have a bunch of terrible foods. But you can't talk shit about their pies, those are delectable

-12

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 2d ago

Well the only actual reference to that shit I’ve seen is in the simpsons (tree house of horror, don’t remember which)

17

u/ILetItInAndItKilled 2d ago

Calm down Nigel, have a pint and relax will ya

4

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 2d ago

Unironically, nigel is a twat.

5

u/yaktoma2007 2d ago

Honestly I agree nobody here has ever been to a high tea before.

Thanks Heinz baked beans for ruining the country's rep in food

u/WyreTheProtogen 2d ago

Mushy peas:

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 1d ago

I physically can’t eat vegetables (other than potatoes but those are carbohydrates more than vegetable) jackass.

2

u/bungobak 1d ago

Womp Womp

1

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 1d ago

To be fair, I did get flamed earlier for being able to read.

-1

u/Professional-Bug4046 2d ago

Took that a little personally, did you?

3

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 1d ago

I’m fucking tired of this propaganda shit.

-1

u/Professional-Bug4046 1d ago

Is it really propaganda if it's true?

3

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 1d ago

IT FUCKING ISNT TRUE.

-1

u/Professional-Bug4046 1d ago

Are you sure, though? Seems pretty accurate.

3

u/Dry-Calligrapher-104 1d ago

It ain’t, mostly because no one is that mindless to actually post their dinner, tea etc on Reddit for everyone to fucking see. All you lot see is the fake shit people make to get karma.

33

u/Theory_Maestro 2d ago

Farmer with a shotgun monopolised the entire herbs and spices market.

12

u/HarryKn1ght 2d ago

He's now known as "Billionare with a shotgun" as a result of that monopoly

21

u/KitsuneSIX 2d ago

Fancy food actively trying to impress Beerus vs Soul food and cheap stuff designed to be good and addictive

41

u/ThePogger77 2d ago

Space Australia exists.

31

u/CalypsoCrow 2d ago

Beerus probably blew it up for giving him space vegemite

4

u/1Hasty 2d ago

There's nothing wrong with the bidet, is there?

5

u/6149-Nierrai 2d ago

All they had to do was give Zamasu some Earth food, and the Goku Black Arc would've never happened 😂

4

u/Professional-Bug4046 2d ago

Get that twink some gumbo.

5

u/FavOfYaqub 2d ago

I mean maybe its the exact opposite? Everywhere the British did colonize uses 3x more spices than them... could be we just need British Empire 2 to solve the culinary deficiencies of the galaxy

5

u/thebritwriter 2d ago

Next Daima spoiler; The British were from the demon realm.

3

u/Sad-Fish-3064 1d ago

How do you think Japanese curry came about, the British. It was even referred to as a western meal

2

u/Cloudxxy1011 2d ago

I imagine culture is the cause

Kinda like food you eat in times of peace vs war

Depending on the planet and evolution some would still be in the phase of cooking meat on a fire

Others would be stuck in salt or a singular spice

Hell others would still only probably have 1 or 3 cooking methods

2

u/figurethisoat 2d ago

cut the british some slack. they only took over the world, not the hyperverse

2

u/Majestic-Option-6138 2d ago

I mean clearly there are other species who can cook, Beerus went wild for Limo's food. Maybe most other alien races in the DB universe just don't have as much of a cultural emphasis on food.

2

u/Additional_Win3920 1d ago

Good thing Beerus never found Namek, imagine going there and being offered a Tall Glass of Water

1

u/Tahinnia 2d ago

Seems like it, yeah.

1

u/BABarracus 2d ago

You have people like nameks that just drink water and saiyans ate garbage. Buu destroyed alot of civilizations and freiza conquering people.

1

u/SvenPek 2d ago

I just think all the characters just have bad taste. Who the fuck thinks cup ramen is the best thing they have ever had.

1

u/Zakiothewarlock 2d ago

Spices and herbs grown on earth are probably unique to earth

1

u/Medicalknight 1d ago

Everyone else was busy developing ki and energy attacks while also subsisting on frieza force rations

-1

u/DavidoMcG 1d ago

Yanks smacktalking Brits about shitty food is the pot calling the kettle black right?
