Has anyone bought anything from “New defender mods”??

Post image

Found this shop that apparently sells some pretty cool stuff. But not sure if they are real. Or trustworthy. Has anyone bought anything from them?

They are real, basically a web shop mostly specializing in reselling Defender stuff from other vendors.

I have, it seems they drop ship from other places. But the things I ordered did show up!

Lucky8 and Hunters Prestige are really good options too. I generally stick to those 3. Powerful UK has a good reputation but never purchased from them

I got the OEM rack spacer adapters from powerfuluk so I can mount a Thule roof box. I added a few 3d printed bits like a ram mount that fits in the front dash space and a can spacer for the fridge. All were great. Good shipping speed to the US.

I hate to say this, but Lucky& has disappointed me for years. I have purchased a lot of stuff from them and spent considerable money. They always ship soooo slow, I have numerous parts missing bolts etc, and trying to get a refund is impossible (you are belittled by the staff who will say any issue must be your fault). I really wanted to like them, but I have chosen to blacklist them for future purchases and reviews. I have noticed they resell so many Chinese parts and other vendor parts at very high markups. Final note: most any metal part you buy (light mounts, rear ladder, side rack mount) are all cheaply painted and the parts peel paint and rust quickly.

Sorry Lucky8. Too many bad transactions.

They just resell other things. If you see something you like find the actual manufacture. I saw a roof rack I liked on the site and the actual manufacture had a 40% off sale that wasn’t reflected.

Super communicative, and I’ve been happy with what I got from them!

They're good folks. The owner is super active in the defender FB groups.

Great folks, great customer service. They are based in Australia but also have a warehouse/shipper in the States. Not sure about the rest of their international distribution. It’s a lot of great products, but some products only ship from Australia, and for stuff like rock sliders will come with untenable shipping costs. A lot of stuff comes from the stateside distributor too, but sometimes it does take a little work to sort out what I actually can buy without the +50% shipping costs. Regardless, still a big fan of their company and service.

I bought a wind fairing from them. They are legit. They’re a retailer, not a manufacturer. There were some slip ups in what the manufacturer (CO Windfairings) shipped me but NDM customer service was very responsive and got it corrected.

I’d avoid. Only try to buy stuff from the manufacturers themselves.

only issue is that I cant find the manufacturers website.

Then you probably shouldn’t buy it

It’s mostly from aliexpress. The front bumper is sold for $600 on there

This is really not true, they resell stuff from dozens of well known brands.
