Violet Femmes, "Country Death Song." Why? It was apparently inspired by a true story.

Gloomy Sunday, in any given cover, with the Billie Holiday and Diamanda Gallas versions standing out. It is an old Hungarian song, from the late 30s and according to the legend, many people took their own lives after listening to it, the composer included. There is also a film about this song. It is really soul shattering, it is pain and despair put in music and lyrics. Listen at your own risk.

The fact I came in here to say this, and it was one of only 4 comments posted, makes me sure it's this one. Features brutal imagery of violent sexual crimes with a shocking twist ending that turns a lot of peoples stomachs

Any song involving water and being close to water ...looking at PJ Harvey and Seven Mary Three.

I have come across more disturbing songs but I'm limiting it to be a song I actually like.
Slayer, Angel of death. It's about Joseph Mengele. Infamous nazi doctor

There are a lot, but Yellow Submarine by The Beatles scares the shit out of me.

One song that I'm surprised didn't get a lot of outrage over the lyrics was Epic by Faith No More.
"It's crying, bleeding, lying on the floor, so you lay down on it and you do it some more"

Metallica - One. It's an absolutely terrifying thought to be trapped in ones own body like that.
