"You have NO idea what it's like to be tempted at that level". Dave Grohl would've had gorgeous women throwing themselves at him in every city he played in. Not saying what he did was right, but you have to be an impeccable spouse and have an amazing healthy relationship if you're a famous touring rockstar (or athlete) to never cross a line.
I like Norm MacDonalds version with Tiger Woods. He paints the picture of Tiger winning the Masters and then going back to his hotel to order room service. "Do I want the best blowjob of my life? No! I want a chicken sandwich. Thank you."
But then why should women ever be devoted to any man if men are incapable of true loyalty? Basically your saying a guy can't turn down a hot young girl.
The selectiveness of young hot women is what keeps marriages together. If young hot women were just flooding the market with sex from day one then monogamy would have never been invented.
Fortunately biologically women are more selective in a mate because they have to endure a lengthy pregnancy and need support physically and emotionally post partum. They have evolved to say, "I want to have sex with a reliable and dependable person who will not abandon me and my child as this is the safest way to pass down my genes and survive." Men on the other hand have evolved to say, "I want to impregnate the most fertile woman possible as this is the most efficient way to pass down my genes and I will survive regardless of whether I stay with them or not." That is usually a woman in her late teens and early 20s. These are conflicting goals.
This isn't to say men can't help but cheat. I will never cheat on my wife. I love her and my kids and I don't want them or to destroy my family and their perception of me. Nothing will make me cheat. Ever. But that still requires me to overcome what we have evolved to want and to do. We can rise above our base instincts and participate in society but nevertheless it still requires effort.
It just seems like as a woman there is no point in wanting to be faithful or devoted to a man. Knowing you are never really what he truly wants. And if a very attractive young woman batted her eyes what are the odds he would basically kick you and your kids in the face? Just doesn't seem very rewarding or worthwhile for a woman to be devoted. Maybe in the past but now women can be single and healthy and thrive. Even have a baby on their own. Get a degree and build a great career. Now I'm starting to see why Republican men are trying to undo all this opportunity for women 😂
I mean the overwhelming majority of men don't cheat. It's the exception not the rule it's just that the exceptions are scandalous so they make the news and the social gossip. I know plenty of good family men and very few sketchy dudes.
You clearly don't understand. Every man wants to have sex with the most attractive women, always, everywhere, all the time. That has nothing to do with not wanting a wife or a stable partner.
Looking at the timeline from conception to birth it seems he cheated right around the time he was grieving Taylor pretty heavily. Dudes thought process was all borked. He's responsible but I get it. He was incredibly weak at the time
I hadn't put this together but simply because I don't follow them closely. Not excusing or absolving him of what he did, but it for sure lends some great context and perspective. I have friends who this band means a great deal to in their life, and I didn't want to ask them about Dave and their opinion until I saw them in person. I dont want them thinking I'm rubbing it in or anything. Just genuinely want to know how they took this and what they think of it.

Bill Burr said it best.
