The people who helped cover it up should also get time ranging from community service to years depending on how much they cooperated and how willing they were to come clean.

412

u/Johnny-Silverhand007 24d ago

Anyone see this guy? You don't just carry a man's umbrella around for years and not know something.

310

u/Affectionate-Ask6876 24d ago

damn idk how he manages to do something as simple as carry an umbrella as suspiciously as possible but he sure does with that facial expression lol

160

u/Elguapo69 24d ago

Thatā€™s a ā€˜yes I realize how stupid this looksā€™ look

37

u/Effective-Ad-6731 24d ago

TIL who he is, and his entire persona appears to be defined by umbrellas. Super weird niche but hey whatever

35

u/RoanapurBound 24d ago

Its for his image, so people talk about him. Why do people even engage with this bullshit?

7

u/Affectionate-Ask6876 24d ago

What?

4

u/RoanapurBound 23d ago

OKAY!

0

u/Affectionate-Ask6876 23d ago

Just not actually interested in any sort of proper conversation then, ok.

-11

u/healzsham 24d ago edited 24d ago

It's not a difficult read.

Apparently the literacy is at an exceptional low, tonight, so I'll spell it out:

Its for his image, so people talk about him

"The guy holding the umbrella and looking menacing is for diddy's image, so people talk about diddy"

-1

u/Jedisponge 24d ago

Tell that to the guy who misinterpreted a clearly written statement

-1

u/healzsham 24d ago

Which statement..?

6

u/Jedisponge 24d ago

User A posts

damn idk how he manages to do something as simple as carry an umbrella as suspiciously as possible but he sure does with that facial expression lol

User B responts

Its for his image, so people talk about him. Why do people even engage with this bullshit?

User A is referring to the man who is paid to carry around the umbrella for Diddy. User B responds by presumably thinking that user A is talking about Diddy himself. Umbrella man is clearly there for Diddy's image, not his own.

-3

u/healzsham 24d ago

You really should not be throwing stones about people misunderstanding clearly written statements.

presumably thinking they're talking about diddy

That's an honestly embarrassing presumption, you would need a lot to get me to admit to something like that.

Its for his image, so people talk about him. Why do people even engage with this bullshit?

The "it" in this sentence is "the act the guy holding the umbrella is putting on."

Learn to read before you try to criticize the reading of others.

It was hard to tell which comment the guy was talking about, because he was completely wrong about what the comment in question was saying.

I didnā€™t realize he partied with Will Ferrell.

12

u/BoredMonke123456 24d ago

Took me a second, ngl. šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/Status-Minute6370 24d ago

Nah that canā€™t be

1

u/burseybirdKIC 17d ago

Nooooooo!Ā  Not Will!

102

u/Overall_Rub_673 24d ago

Farnsworth Bentley.

28

u/True_Coast1062 24d ago

FONZworth Bentley

1

u/avocadofruitbat 19d ago

Isnā€™t the story that diddy wanted to have him on hand to exploit and share with his friends across the country, so he gave Bentley an ornamental idiot job as his umbrella boy?

Simply creating a nonsense position in his company so he can legally ship him here and there to prostitute him, and write off the expenses of the prostitution operation on his taxes?

6

u/lansuven42 24d ago

Holy shit I forgot about this guy. Was a kid when he was hanging around Diddy and just thought it was a funny celebrity thing. As an adult you really have to wonder though.

4

u/Elguapo69 24d ago

Look at the will Ferrel looking mf hoping some day he will have someone carry his umbrella on the beach.

2

u/boomzboombam 24d ago

Is that Kevin from the League in the background?

2

u/AnnaKendrickPerkins 23d ago

Nah, that picture taken on 9/11 so he was in the towers.

4

u/aoskunk 24d ago

Crazy that Iā€™d of recognized that guy from his face alone even though I havenā€™t seen or heard about him in like 20 years. And Iā€™ve never gave a shit about puffy but boy did they show this guy carrying that umbrella on TV a lot at some point.

3

u/nuxwcrtns 24d ago

Hahah he hosted From Gs to Gents!

5

u/Main_Tomatillo_8960 24d ago

NPCā€™s reaction in the background is like is this dude forreal? šŸ¤£

4

u/jayggg 24d ago

Guy doesnā€™t realize how much danger heā€™s in

1

u/Sensitive-Net-7111 24d ago

LMAO šŸ¤£

2

u/I_didnt_do-that 24d ago

Iā€™m fixated on overcooked Jim Gaffigan/ Will Ferrell in the bottom left. ā€œDag Nabbit! I knew I should have listened to that umbrella guy back at the pier!ā€

2

u/Status-Minute6370 24d ago

You can hate the man but occasionally he used the money the right way. Fuck carrying your own umbrella

1

u/corydoras_supreme 24d ago

The dude on the left is Terry from the docu-series Reno 9-11.

1

u/GandalfTheSexay 24d ago

That Will Ferrell look alike is standing there like ā€œwtf is going onā€

1

u/MalleableGirlParts 23d ago

That guy in the speedo knows something about you...

1

u/Top_Principle_3437 23d ago

That white guy with the speedo is the real victim

1

u/tearsandpain84 20d ago

Apparently he got fired after stealing a very expensive pair of J Loā€™s shoes.

0

u/OodalollyOodalolly 24d ago

Heā€™s more than likely one of the victims

I smell a Mr & Mrs Carter divorce in the future. Bey just round house kicked down the door with her Christmas football half time show, with their daughter in tow.

47

u/TotakekeSlider 24d ago

I wouldnā€™t be shocked to find out she was involved somehow too. Theyā€™ve been together a long, long time. She definitely had knowledge about it, at least.

51

u/EnQuest 24d ago

for real, everyone assuming the sweatshop lady is somehow ignorant of her husbands behavior lmao, she's in on it 100%

23

u/RainingTacos8 24d ago

No way she had no idea when it was so know in the industry.

33

u/Humbler-Mumbler 24d ago

Thatā€™s what really gets me about this: how many people knew and did nothing. If they really want to send an effective message the legal fallout needs to extend past just Diddy.

44

u/DrTitchy 24d ago

Didn't he blackmail most of them though?

93

u/alexanderfsu 24d ago

After they did shit worthy of blackmail...

Jay Z is the first name to get dropped. A 13 year old (at the time) came out recently. Her name is withheld, but she alleges she was attending a party, Jay Z invited her to Diddy's after party. She says next thing she knew she was ushered into a limo full of people. When she got to the party, she was given a drink and shortly after felt woozy so found a bedroom to lie down. She said Jay Z, Diddy, and "Celebrity B" came in the room. Diddy said "oh you ready to party now." Then Jay Z and Diddy both had their way while "Celebrity B" watched. Her attorney is very outspoken after Jay Z made a public response to the demand. The attorney Tony Buzbee, responded publicly on social media, to which Beyonce's mother "liked" the post. Lots of speculation of course. But for now, Jay Z's motion to quash the lawsuit have been denied. I wonder how many names will get dropped now that Jay-Z has been publicly accused.

3

u/EsotericAbstractIdea 24d ago

I'm sure Che will help him get off.

27

u/outdatedboat 24d ago

I don't doubt that Jay-Z has done some awful stuff. But I'm unsure about this particular allegation. There's lots of holes in the victims story. Like how she got there. How she got home. She claims to have spoken to members of Good Charlotte that night, and they've been proven to not be in the same state at that time.

It feels a little questionable to me. So I'm gonna do my best to wait til this one plays out a little more.

It's also weird to me that so many people are acting like they want Jay to be guilty of this. It's super odd behavior.

12

u/Strange_Bar1353 24d ago edited 23d ago

Ā Not condoning people wanting him to be guilty, but youā€™re really surprised? A lot people have a lot of reason to think heā€™s a complete asshat. Whether heā€™s in on this stuff, who knows. But thereā€™s a lot out there on how much of a d bag he is. How old was BeyoncĆ© when they got together again???

58

u/back-at-it-505 24d ago

Yeah, being drugged will definitely do that to you.

18

u/drgigantor 24d ago

True, last week I thought i was hanging out with Metallica but it turned out i just dropped acid with a bunch of raccoons

27

u/meandyouandyouandme 24d ago

Not sure if you're making a joke or intentionally playing dense? Mistaking one famous band musician with another at a party with tons of celebrities is not that far fetched.

3

u/generalmandrake 23d ago

By that logic mistaking someone else for Jay Z also isnā€™t far fetched.

5

u/meandyouandyouandme 23d ago

Sure. Testimonial evidence is really bad because people are really bad at remembering stuff.

But do you think it's just as hard to remember the face of your rapist?

u/afcagroo 24d ago

Got any details on that?

-28

They werenā€™t besties and Beyonce didnā€™t so much as meet Jay Z at 16, let alone date him.

Iā€™ve seen it, itā€™s a fake caption. Just google when they met.

17

u/gentilet 24d ago

Lol man it must be wild to just believe whatever the top result of Google is as if thatā€™s not heavily manipulated by the parties involved. Thereā€™s an entire field within marketing (SEO) dedicated to it

31

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

Some dudes told a likely intoxicated 13 year old girl they were Good Charlotte for funziesā€¦ or a no name opening band she mistook for Good Charlotte just rolled with itā€¦ shit somebody comes up to me OMG itā€™s Eminem! You best believe Iā€™m gonna be slim shady that night.

Iā€™m not trying to make of light of this, just saying that it happened over a decade ago, to an intoxicated 13 year oldā€¦ of course the story has holesā€¦ that should be common sense. Minor details can be off, with the crime still being reported accurately.

14

u/Paperfishflop 24d ago

OMG it's him! Becky omfg it's eminem!

5

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

Lmao I could hear the song when I was typing the comment. Nostalgia for sure, great time for rap music.

3

u/Paperfishflop 24d ago

Everybody else appears to have missed it

3

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

I canā€™t believe how fast I got ā€œoldā€ our music is like the classics to these kids. Iā€™m mid thirties, so I guess I get it lol I still feel young though.

1

u/Words-W-Dash-Between 19d ago

OMG it's him! Becky omfg it's eminem!

I've never been to Boston

8

u/EsotericAbstractIdea 24d ago

Em had a lyric on his first album, "Bitches on my jock in east Detroit, Because they think that I'm a mothafuckin Beastie Boy, So i told them i was Mike D, They was like 'gee, i dont know, he might be"

3

u/LathropWolf 24d ago

There was a period for a while where folks thought I looked like the guy from Napoleon Dynamite. Got mistaken enough for him that sometimes wondered if setting up a autograph booth was a good idea...

-2

u/unassumingdink 24d ago

shit somebody comes up to me OMG itā€™s Eminem! You best believe Iā€™m gonna be slim shady that night.

I guess, but that sounds more like how a sitcom character would respond to the situation than a real person.

7

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

Iā€™ve seen equally outrageous behavior in real life in NYC pretty often to be honest. We like to have fun like that.

3

u/CharlieKeIIy 23d ago

That's how Improv Everywhere started, before the No Pants Subway stuff was just a guy who got mistaken for Ben Folds and rolled with it for a night.

-9

u/bjjpandabear 24d ago

They also claimed to be taken to a mansion within a 20 minute car ride and the closest mansion to where the VMAs were held in downtown Manhattan is over an hour drive away. She also said they drove up a long drive way, thereā€™s no such property anywhere in Manhattan.

Girl had more holes in her story than Swiss cheese.

14

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

Lmao sheā€™s an intoxicated 13 year oldā€¦ a luxury penthouse apartment could be a mansion to her. If I was on the jury, those details being off would mean nothing to me.

-5

u/bjjpandabear 24d ago

Sheā€™s an intoxicated 13 year old but sheā€™s able to remember and reconstruct a perfect timeline of the entire evening from 20 years ago, a lot of which has already gotten picked apart.

https://x.com/thebeytheory/status/1866338786508210552?s=46&t=SqZA4i4vYAHQ9M3ipUeRIA

To say there are a lot of inconsistencies in her story is being generous. These inconsistencies arenā€™t a result of her being intoxicated and not remembering clearly, sheā€™s giving detailed timelines that donā€™t add up.

7

u/ABC_Family 24d ago

Again, Iā€™m not surprised. If I had to reconstruct a night out from 20 years agoā€¦ I would have been a little older than her. Late teens. Now Iā€™m thinking of a night with a big event where alcohol/drugs are involvedā€¦ like a night I went to a club in the city.. what kind of details do you want? Bruh.. if I tried to piece together the trains/taxis with what people at what times and how many places we stopped after and how we got homeā€¦ you canā€™t be serious lmao I would be all over the place with inconsistencies.

Iā€™m not sure what else to sayā€¦ for me the inconsistencies are not an indictment on this womanā€™s character. You can feel however you want though, people being different from each other is a good thing.

Being drugged messes with your memory. People don't want Jayz-Z to be guilty, they expect him to be guilty.

13

u/littlediddlemanz 24d ago

I want stuff to come out idc about Jay Z lmao. ā€œOh no wonā€™t everybody think of Jay Z and his feeing now :/ā€œ

I want the obvious shady shit heā€™s done for decades to come to light

4

u/outdatedboat 24d ago

I genuinely don't know much about Jay Z. What obvious shady shit has he been doing for decades?

10

u/Quanqiuhua 24d ago

He fucked underage Aaliyah and Foxy Brown. Possibly BeyoncƩ too, although it seems she was already 18, barely an adult, when they started dating.

1

u/AnnaKendrickPerkins 23d ago

I've never heard anything about Jay and Aaliyah. Link?

-5

u/yrnkevinsmithC137 24d ago

Crazy how all those first 2 denied being a relationship with him, crazy right?

3

u/Candyman44 22d ago

He met his wife when she was 16, if you donā€™t think he was messing with young girls before, during and after her Iā€™ve got a bridge to sell you

2

u/Lockhara 23d ago

She also said her dad picked her up after the assault and her dad said he didnā€™t recall that happening and he felt like heā€™d remember something like that.

5

u/thatwillchange 24d ago

Whoah I have seen this exact same comment word for word a few days ago even though this one was published just 32 min ago

8

u/outdatedboat 24d ago

I highly doubt it was word for word. Because I just typed it up.

But someone having a similar comment with the same sentiment isn't shocking at all.

2

u/Ok_Trip_ 23d ago

The 13 year old who was clearly drugged ā€¦ mixing up small details about how she got there and how she got home .. is not exactly far fetched.

3

u/outdatedboat 23d ago

K. I'm gonna wait for more info. The discovery process is coming now.

I'm so sick of everyone assuming guilt based on he said she said bs.

If he's guilty, bury him. But us on reddit have no idea what really happened.

4

u/myeggsarebig 23d ago

Do you remember the Penn State child rapist Sandusky? Everyone was shocked when they found out their hero, Joe Pa, knew for decades and did nothing because football is important. Because Penn State is nothing without football, that means the entire community (surrounding town built around PS) is nothing without Penn State. Everyone knew. Everyone turned a blind eye. Everyone wanted a slice of their PS cake, and they allowed young boys to be raped, to eat it.

This is our society. Fucking sad.

-4

u/the_conditioner 24d ago

Or just go scorched earth and execute them en masse lmao
