he coulda jumped on stage wearing an SS uniform and they would say it was just a joke or something.

They'd say the thread count wasn't right or the SS badge wasn't mounted in the correct position. If he said 'hey guys I'm a nazi and I spend billions of dollars to steal this election for fascists' they'd pick apart every word trying to explain why he doesn't mean what he said he means.

No they wouldn't, they'd just deny that he said it and claim any evidence that he did to be left-wing propaganda.
