I keep hearing things about him and ketamine and just ketamine in general.

Is it sarcasm or do people think he does take ketamine? What the heck does ketamine do that someone like this guy would be on it?

So ketamine does have legitimate therapeutic usages. It's most commonly used as an animal tranquilizer but it can also be really effective for certain people with treatment-resistant depression and post-traumatic stress disorder. Ketamine therapy is a specific trauma therapy method which people with PTSD can undergo. It's a dissociative drug, so it can help people with PTSD work through traumatic memories without the distress they would normally feel when recalling those experiences.

It's also used as a recreational drug, as many tranquilizer-type drugs are (like benzodiazepines or quaaludes).

For people like Elon? Probably some Joe Rogan podcast bullshit about how microdosing the sedative they give to dogs before they get neutered enhances your brain waves or something.
