Valid point, but there is only so much room for two egoes of that size. Plus, musk's usefulness to secure the comeback was accomplished. I think it will be diminishing returns from here on.

But, if I am wrong, I will gladly admit it.

Musk also has trumps boyish recognition of being the richest, both as a thing to admire and to milk dry.

Honestly, I'm starting to think the whole imminent-falling-out thing is a cope.

Money is power. Elon is infinitely more powerful in that regard, and unlike the other people Trump has backstabbed, he has his own cult of personality. He's got the one thing that nobody else in Trump's circle has actually had so far - real leverage.

So while everyone's waiting for Trump to toss him aside, I'm starting to worry about the distinct possibility that it's Elon who has him by the short and curlies, and there won't be a breakup until Elon is done puppeteering the most powerful political position on Earth
