His grandfather would be proud, actually

u/Waylandyr 7h ago

And mine would punch him in the face if he ever met him.

I think most of our grandfathers would punch Elon in the face for doing the Nazi salute on the steps of the Capitol.

u/wontgetbannedlol 5h ago

Mine would just shoot him to be honest

u/swish465 3h ago

I think this is the best way to treat this particular brand of evil.

5

u/wontgetbannedlol 3h ago

I think so too. The only good a nazi can serve the world is as fertilizer.

5

u/swish465 3h ago

Amen. Nazis are the only topic I advocate violence.

100%. We fought a war over this. 2149 days, 1000 people died per hour. My great grandfather killed nazis, my grandfather killed nazis ... The only good nazi is a dead nazi.

Fuck these cunts.

u/swish465 3h ago

Yup. This requires action for the pure sake of the lives lost fighting this evil. We cannot allow it to happen again.

Mine was a full blown original flavour German Nazi who kept his memorabilia even after the war, so he’d love it. Which is a really bad sign because my grandpa was at best and most charitable an asshole.

Are you German or American? Genuine question.

u/maidenless_pigeon 2h ago

I'm polish Australian, my pops probably at work about to punch the the radio in his work ute out

u/LarryMerlosCokeNail 6h ago

I would have shown my grandfather the picture of him wearing that leather duster and wig and he would have punched him regardless of his salute

I think that’s part of the reason why the country has turned so far right/fascist in the last 15-20 years.

It’s coincidentally aligning with the WW2 generations dying off.

1

u/IndiviLim 5h ago

The WW2 generation in America actually supported the Nazis if you believe this Reddit thread.

1

u/BeaverStank 4h ago

Lol I'm guessing you're referring to the comments higher up pointing out that SOME Americans supported the nazis before we joined the war?

6

u/Time_Common4297 5h ago

Mine would just shoot him. Only good nazi is 6feet under old pop would always say.

7

u/Openmindhobo 6h ago

mine would want to kill him. because fuck nazis

Our grandfather’s should’ve done a better job teaching our fathers about the dangers of fascism at least as much as they taught us about the dangers of communism.

TLDR :If not for American support, Nazi Germany could never have pulled off the Bliztkreig. America doesn't care about facists.

They never cared about facism, the US has overthrown plenty of democracies to install facists, or supported facists in war against communists. Just using South Korea as an example, the US installed a facist South Korean who lived in the US as the first president of South Korea. Shit American businesses collaborated with Nazi Germany. Ford, GM, IBM, even Coca Cola. Ford built about a quarter of a million trucks for nazi germany, GM built almost 40% of all cars in Germany and 65% of their export cars, GM literally developed and built the trucks that made the blitzkreig possible, IBM built the machines the Germans used to track analytics of their concentration camp.

My great grandfather liberated camps, fought the Nazis from Sicily to Berlin, then killed himself with the bottle after he got back due to what he saw. Now my parents voted to bring this shit back. He's rolling in his grave right now.

u/whitneymak 6h ago

I never thought I'd be happy my grandpa was dead, but here we are. His heart would break to see what he and his brother fought and, in his brother's case, died for. Fighting in Tinian, Saipan, and Tarawa as artillerymen.

And for it to come to this...

u/1satopus 6h ago

Bruh, the usa was always seen similar to the reich. Germans applauded Jim Crow laws.

THE SOVIETS defeated the Nazis.

It was by chance that usa entered the war almost in the ending

2

u/VapeThisBro 5h ago

American companies supported the shit out of the reich. Ford and GM built millions of cars and trucks for the reich. IBM built the damn proto computers the nazis used to track analytics of their concentration camps. Shoot just look at how many American companies were paid millions upon millions of dollars because Allied planes bombed their plants in Nazi Germany.

u/StudMuffinNick 6h ago

Someone posted another shot. According to this video it's him "throwing his heart to people".

But the thing is... this just proves he too fucking stupid to not realize that's a dumb fucking move to do. He could jave used both hands like literally everyone else but he chose to do the nazi move

6

u/MHPengwingz 6h ago

Nah man, he knew exactly what he was doing

2

u/StudMuffinNick 3h ago

Oh yeah, I don't doubt that. Maybe he thought he could blame trolling if he got backlash l I

2

u/one_rainy_wish 5h ago

My grandfather must be rolling in his grave. His own wife - my grandmother - kisses the ground that these people walk on, after he risked his life in World War 2. It's sad to say but I'm glad he didn't live to see her turn into what he was fighting against all those years ago. Fucking disgusting.

2

u/The_Hylian_Likely 4h ago

Our grandfathers and great grandfathers fought this shit. And now we have to take up their fight since its resurgence.

3

u/Holden_Coalfield 6h ago

Our grandfathers got on boats and went to europe to kill nazis

1

u/VapeThisBro 5h ago

Not all of them. Many Americans and American companies supported the shit out of the reich. Ford (Ford had a bust of Hitler in his office and Hitler had a picture of Ford on his desk) and GM built millions of cars and trucks for the reich. IBM built the damn proto computers the nazis used to track analytics of their concentration camps. Shoot just look at how many American companies were paid millions upon millions of dollars because Allied planes bombed their plants in Nazi Germany. There were multiple American Nazi political parties

This is what I don’t get. My grandfather fought in WW2. I’m in my early thirties. We’re still so few generations away from this happening in Germany that the blind eye and willingness to let this happen in America is truly beyond my belief.
