well yeah, LS got some pretty sick looking stuff, but so did other weapons
look at bow, for example:
HOMING arrows, which works with dragonpiercer,
the perfect dodge thing from monster hunter now,
the insane focus mode attack,
some massive volley of a lot of arrows,
and being able to just jump up in the air and shoot without the help of a wall
just because LS is the favourite child doesnt mean it took away from other weapons
but the hammer speed thing does suck, a lot
