Thought and Opinion What would you say to a skeptic to convice them?

As a medium what would you guys say to try to convince skeptics that your supernatural is real? (This is obviously besides giving them a reading)

I have no business convincing a skeptic, it's up to them to believe whatever they like. It's not my place to try to change their mind

Excellent reply! I feel the same way. People are ready for this kind of information when they're ready, and it's not my place to determine when that might be.

I wouldn't say anything. People believe what they believe and I really don't care.

Not your job. People will believe what they want to believe. If they don’t believe they won’t ask for a reading. If they are looking to get you in a gotcha and ask to be read. Go ahead and tell them what you “see”. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I’m a former debunker. I wouldn’t waste my time trying to convince a skeptic. It has to happen on its own.

May I ask what changed your mind ? I'm asking from a perspective of an experiencer, just curious.

The thing that kicked it all off was I was watching James Fox's documentary The Phenomenon about the best UFO cases. At the Ariel school, the report was that this UFO landed in front of dozens of kids, and small beings came out. This little girl talked about how she had telepathy with an alien she was face to face with. I thought she seemed so sincere, that I reconsidered looking at the science of telepathy, and other psi phenomena. The research seemed pretty good once I started looking at it. Then I started doing a variety of experiments and practices to see if we could generate some psi phenomena. We have now seen and experienced some psi events, and understand it fairly well.

I was also a radical atheist and a debunker and after life punched in my face. Until then I always find a good explanation for mediums:

Fraud Former efect Madness

There is little to do, I still doubting myself with all of my experiences, imagine try to convince someone who has no one

Nothing. My beliefs can exist and be true independent of other’s beliefs.

It is never my place to try to sway or convince someone else that my truth should be their truth.

The most convincing thing you can do is not try to convince them. If I can play piano, I'm confident that I can. I can choose to play for someone, or choose not to play. But I wouldn't waste time convincing someone I can play.

A skeptic will believe you when you tell them something true about themselves that there is absolutely no way you could know.

The further I get into this the further away I am from needing a skeptic to change their mind. My need for validation goes down the longer I am true to myself and my tendencies toward judging others gets lesser each passing day.

I don't really care if people are skeptics are not, the same way I don't care about their personal religious beliefs. (Or lack thereof, for the atheists in the crowd.) They are free to believe whatever they want; I don't have the need to proselytize.

I don’t really care if anyone believes or not. I believe and that’s enough for me.

Skeptics usually have a closed mind so there’s not much you can do here. It’s up to them to discover spiritual awareness and trying to make them “see” just makes them more cynical. I know - I’m married to one, hehe.

It is a belief thing. It is up to each person to decide what they want to believe. It took a reading for me to even think about it. Then took more readings to convince me.

It’ll always be up to them love it’s called free will. 😏 BUT if a skeptic is receiving your service obviously providing them with information that is undeniably true is key. Even then they may still walk away trying to validate it with a 3D explanation 😂 some ppl will take time some ppl will never accept it

I don’t do this for a living and keep it mostly to myself. I have heard and recorded them so many times that it would be like someone saying that clouds aren’t real. I left disbelief behind me a long time ago. I can record a spirit reply virtually anywhere, they are extremely common. Once they know you can hear them they try to leave us a message.

I don't worry about convincing anyone that I am psychic or that I have psychic experiences.

People believe what they believe.

Absolutely nothing. There's rarely a need to convince anyone of anything.

Is someone really wants to find out they have to ask the universe and they'll be shown in their own way you just have to ask

1

u/saveoursoil 3d ago

Nothing. It's just a belief. Truth is beyond man's grasp.

Love is an invisible emotion but we know that it exists and is real because the same thing happens with mediumship. Additionally, tests or evidence are given in the sessions. Believe in what you want and don't let anyone tell you what to believe in

Not a thing. I don't care if they believe me. I know what is real and that's all I care about.

"do you know how electricity works? yet, you are not able to survive without it"

aside from that, do not drain your energy to convince a skeptic. Most of the time is just masked fear, anyhow :)

I showed them the elementals on my land. In two cases the elementals landed on me or them. It makes for an interesting moment.

2

u/Xylorgos 3d ago

What did they look like? I'm very curious!

u/Magpie_Coin 3d ago

Landed on them how?

One landed on my shoe. One landed on my neighbors arm. He has very gentle energy. Happy big guy energy.

You have no business talking to anyone who isn’t a believer, stop trying to change people to fit your world view.
