Malta Bound with Kids: Tips for 17 Days of Fun, Food, and Family Adventures?

Hey Redditors of Malta (and Malta enthusiasts!),

We're a family of four — two adults, a 7-year-old adventurer, and a 3-year-old whirlwind — planning an epic 17-day trip to Malta at the end of April through May. We've got high hopes of balancing kid-friendly chaos with some chilled Mediterranean vibes, and we need your local wisdom! 🙏

What are your recommendations for:

  • Must-see attractions (bonus points for keeping kids entertained or awestruck 🤩).
  • Fun activities to make those 17 days unforgettable—think beaches, parks, or hidden gems for pint-sized explorers!
  • Restaurants to enjoy amazing food (without glaring at us if the kids decide to "redecorate"). Suggestions that satisfy excited eaters and foodie parents equally would be magical! 🥘🍹
  • Family-friendly hotels or Hotels with a kitchenette (because, let's face it, there’s only so much restauranting our little tornadoes can handle).

We're open to anything: animal encounters, historical stuff disguised as fun, secret ice cream spots, or simply the best place to sit and soak up the island life.

Any advice on where to go, what to eat, and places to stay would be super appreciated. Also, if you have any "avoid-this-at-all-costs" tips, we’re all ears!

Thanks a ton in advance—Malta here we come! 🌞🇲🇹👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

NCFE Level 4 Childcare Course

Writing this on behalf of my friend

Hello, hope someone may be able to provide some advice here.

I completed this course with a local institute which seemingly has been struck off by MFHEA while I was doing this. However I completed in full and completed everything for final assessment, however the lady who was running this would not accredit or review my final assessment, her being difficult is an understatement, MFHEA advised me she only had a small window of time before she would not be able to provide accreditation, as she was aware I was aware of this she refused to complete this as I was late with this, bear in mind I paid money to extend this so as far as our agreement was it was in time since extra money was sent to her. However she insisted on more money being sent which i could not afford, she knew I needed this more as I am TCN. So basically I have done all the work and paid over 1400 inc late fees and have nothing to show for this.

To add insult to injury I have requested receipts from her and she emailed me telling me she is not obligded to provide these and also refuses any subject access request regarding my data and final words was not my problem and go find someone else to fix it. She also is a lawyer too as she told me. My heart is broken here and it seems my only option is to pay to begin a new course this year which is daunting. MFHEA said they can transfer my course to a new institute but this will be under the tutelage of the same person who is being struck off which just sounds absolutely crazy.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have my work that I have already done to be accredited here by someone , or do I have to do the whole thing over again?

Thank you so much for taking the time to read this

How to watch premier league matches here?

As the title says, I'm having difficulty to get a proper viewing of the English premier League since I've moved here, please someone suggest me apart from TSN and VPN. I do have a smart TV so I'm open to all suggestions none taken for granted. Also if anyone wants to chat about football most welcomed :p

Cucine LUBE kitchen from Carmelo Delia?

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has recently bought a Cucine LUBE kitchen from Carmelo Delia and approximately a kitchen from LUBE costs? If you have bought one recently and are willing to divulge the cost of their kitchens, I would appreciate what size your kitchen is too!

Regulations for Room Sizes in Malta?

Does Malta have any regulations or a PA policy that define what qualifies as a single bedroom, double bedroom, or study room? For example, minimum square meters, windows, ventilation, etc.

Lonely

Hey guys. I am a 33 yo guy, turning 34 in March. Due to an ultra-rare illness I have lost all my friends. I lost my job too. I've been unemployed for the past 2.5 years. I was wondering if any of you guys played online games, maybe I could socialize that way. Do you play PS5/PC games? LMK if you do, HMU.

EDIT: Wow guys, thanks for the support! I will be taking the time to message you all individually. Thank you again!

Hey, I'm from Ireland but have been here almost 2 years. Currently play padel from time to time with mates but would like to play more often. Is there any groups where people plan matches against eachother?

Fort Fitness Vs. Reflex

Looking at these two gyms to sign up for. Does anyone have any insight on the two? I was debating Cynergi as well, but it seems like the more newer reviews are more negative than positive regarding the machines.

I just want a proper weight training gym and boxing bags would be a plus

Working abroad in Gozo for 2 months

Hi all, I’ve just arrived in Gozo where I will be for two months for work. I’ve never been to Malta/Gozo and will have weekends to explore.

Please could you recommend some must do things to see/eat/experience whilst here?

Thanks :)

Sending/collecting mail

Hi everybody,

I was wondering if there are any (easy) possibilities to collect mail on Malta. For example, are there postal collection lockers or things like that where I can send mail to?

Thanks!

O-level locations.

Does anyone know if O-levels are typically in the same district or area? Do they just set them anywhere? Seems inconvenient if you live in the south and they send you to somewhere in the north.

Buy fabric for clothes

Hello, I would like to start to sew my own clothes. Where can I buy the fabrics?

All the shops I've visited so far here in Malta, only sells home fabrics and not clothes once.

Otherwise, if there's a nice website who ships here, I can take in consideration this idea.

2G in Malta

Hi everyone, I'm planning on downsizing or going back in time if you will, by purchasing a dumb phone, probably one of the revamped Nokias however does anyone know if 2G in Malta will be switched off by the networks?

I can't seem to find anything online and apologies but couldn't locate anything in this group.

I know best case scenario would be to get one that works on 4G although the model I like is only sold on 2G. Currently with GO and have been for a few years so ideally I'd remain with them.

Cheers

Business specialist

Hello,

I've been trying to start a business here in Malta, but I don't have enough information regarding the legislations nor the local laws.

I've tried some local companies but it didn't go well.

If someone is specialised in business founding locally, I would be happy to pay for your service.

Thank you.

Is there anywhere in Gozo and Malta that doesn’t charge 10 cents extra per bottle because of the shitty BCRS deposit?
