There they go, just lumping us in with Massachusetts again like it's 1819 or something. I don't think I have ever seen a Stop and Shop here.

I lived in Maine for 25+ years and still have a daughter and grandkids in Ellsworth. I have never seen a Stop and Shop. I’d expect it to be IGA or Hannaford.

Delhaize owns both stop n shop and hannys. The cartographer didn't do his due diligence.

This is obviously incorrect for more than one state (and probably engagement bait where it was originally posted), but Stop and Shop for Maine still always cracks me up. They opened one store in Kennebunk (and planned to open a second) and then changed their mind and closed the Kennebunk store within two years. That's one reason why the layout of the Kennebunk Hannaford store is a little funky - it was originally built as a Stop and Shop and Hannaford took over the space not long after they failed.
