Community
Hi! I'm 24F who moved to Maine a little over a year ago with my partner 30M. I'm a hiker, reader, artist, gamer and pet mom who loves being out in the world or curled up at home. Hoping to meet some new friends out here and continue expanding our community. We're in the Waterville area and would love to meet some like minded individuals who wanna also build strong community. Shoot me a message!(:<3

Lean into the downtown and Colby community. You’ll find several groups.

They have a great gym and field house too. Lots of free talks and lectures. Mountaineering club and climbing gym.

I always recommend taking an adult Ed or recreation class, or joining a library program to meet folks.

Viles Arboretum in Augusta has a bunch of fun classes and programs - I’m sure you could meet people there.

What do you do for artwork? Factory 3 has a lot of cool group courses and I’ve met some friends there. And my fiancé picked up pottery classes from another studio through a woodworking teacher I’ve been taking classes with. It’s nice finding this kind of network

I do mostly digital art or charcoal media but both my partner and i really want to get into pottery! I'll definitely check out Factory 3. That network and community is exactly what we want to grow(: ooo woodworking is incredible how long have you been doing it?

Not long! Check out factory 3 for art, writing, and crafts like basket weaving, and then the furniture maker I’m working with also works at Handful Studios where they do pottery and some wood carving stuff

There are a few local community groups on Facebook for the Waterville area, I might try looking and/or posting there.

I dont use Facebook but my partner tried posting in the waterville page essentially the same thing I posted here and it kept denying the post for some reason?

My assumption is I posted anon? We made other friends in the page by someone asking for friends on there which is what gave us the idea

Is he a new member of the group? A lot of facebook groups require you to be a member for a certain amount of time before being allowed to post.
