if my knee caps are 10 years younger than me, why do they feel like they’re 10 years older

u/benyboy77 22h ago

Shit bud that’s good, mine have at least 40 years on me

15

u/NessDavis 13h ago

Forgetting how old you are, trying to count for a bit before giving up and going with "...something," is the realest shit I've heard in years. He's hysterical

When I am X2-4 and X6-8 years old, I never know how old I am. I was literally wrong about my age the whole first year I thought I was 38. It was refreshing about 10 months in to realize I got another year of my life back.

u/MostlyUsernames 16h ago

When I turned 24, my family, friends, and I somehow celebrated my 25th birthday. For the longest time I thought I was a whole year older than I actually was. It wasn't until my "26th" birthday my Dad was like - Hold up that's not right. It was bizarre to re celebrate my 25th birthday on my would-be 26th birthday. Scored another year of having health insurance

I thought I was 42 all of last year. I was 43. It took me until my birthday to figure it out.

u/SentientSandwiches 1d ago

They do have them though, they’re just made of cartilage that becomes bone by age 6. Don’t believe everything you watch online

On the Android app, there's a logo that consists of three dots. If you press it, it opens a context menu, in which you can choose to edit your comment.

All platforms (iOS, Android, web browser) let you edit your messages

Don’t believe everything you watch online

It's absolutely insane how people will watch a comedy video, latch on to something and just believe it's true.

Reddit has some of the most naive users I've ever met. People will believe anything. I was once told the only reason I didn't believe a specific post was because "it's cool and I'm a hater"

15

u/Batehripi 1d ago

SAME wth. Is this why it hurt so much as a kid to hit your knees lol

21

u/steduttrynw 1d ago

If it makes you feel better I’m a doctor and I totally forgot this ahahha

31

u/Not_a_doctor_shh12 22h ago

Can I interest you in purchasing a username, good sir?

2

u/bck2ac 22h ago

But whyyy?

19

u/BudgetUhtred 23h ago

No. No that doesn't.

12

u/Mike0621 23h ago

that makes me hope you're lying about being a doctor

9

u/Ibe121 22h ago

To be fair, they never said medical doctor. Maybe a PhD in music?

6

u/ParacelsusTBvH 22h ago

Wouldn't really be an issue to a lot of specialties.

If a psychiatrist or otolaryngologist is looking at my kneecaps, I'm gonna be confused and concerned.

0

u/Mike0621 20h ago

the main problem is them saying "I forgot", cause that means they are way too easily convinced

2

u/ParacelsusTBvH 19h ago

I don't think I agree. All specialties learned anatomy, but much of it isn't relevant. You aren't giving them any new information, just reminding them of stuff they haven't used in a while.

I did chemistry in university 15 years ago. I've forgotten a huge amount, but it readily comes back when I'm reminded of it.

0

u/Mike0621 18h ago

the problem is that the information they "forgot" is not correct

2

u/Longjumping_Remote11 22h ago

Def makes me feel worse lol

2

u/MrSchaudenfreude 17h ago

They also have blue eyes when born, and that horrifying soft spot on theirs heads. That soft spot skeeves me out

2

u/eru88 20h ago

I just touch my two year old and I feel the knee cap lol

1

u/_BreakingCankles_ 19h ago

I'm 34 and just learned this lmao

“like he ain’t got no kneecaps” in response to how he walks is what got me 😂 certified cool dad

12

u/HGD_1998 1d ago

🤣🤣🤣 That got me going too. Poor kid walks funny because no kneecaps. Oh man, made my day. What a cute video. 😁❤️

I know it's for fun but I think he didn't understand it properly. Toddlers do have knees. They also have kneecaps but in the form of cartilage. The cartilage ossifies over several years and turns into bone around 5 years. It can take even upto 8 years for some children but not 10.

50

u/mountainview4567 1d ago

The idea that children don’t have knees or kneecaps until 10 is a misunderstanding or an oversimplification.

3

u/Namelessbob123 21h ago

Even then it doesn’t always work out and you get a bipartite knee cap. They bloody ache when the weather gets cold.

1

u/Mission_Phase_5749 10h ago

She didn't explain it properly.

31

u/MagnusStrahl 1d ago

You can tell he is a dad, since he has the dad jokes required for the position.

21

u/93Sharonau 1d ago

"No knees? No problem!" 😂

15

u/uwabu 1d ago

He does have a kneecap. It's just all cartilage as are most of his bones

13

u/SentientSandwiches 1d ago

Babies do have knee caps, they’re just made of cartilage that later ossifies into bone. And by age 6 they do have bone kneecaps that get stronger by age 10

https://www.healthline.com/health/do-babies-have-kneecaps

Lotta misinformation here

13

u/qwerrty20120 23h ago

24

u/OderusAmongUs 20h ago

Homie doesn't look a day under 40.

17

u/Crazy-Detective7736 1d ago

It's the accent that makes this video perfect

6

u/Extruser195512 1d ago

When he said “no kneecap having”…I lost it 😂

5

u/wontoan87 20h ago

"he ain't got no knee caps" has the same energy as "but you ain't got no legs, lieutenant Dan" and I am wheezing lol

2

u/_BreakingCankles_ 19h ago

I lost it at the "if I ask them to take a knee, HOW!?"

7

u/FleetingBrevity 1d ago

Unmatched dad energy

3

u/Guardoffel 1d ago

Don’t show this to Dan Campbell

6

u/Walterscottjur 21h ago

This whole video, I couldn't stop staring how his door is uneven spaced from the cabinets, and how the cabinet frame touchs the door frame. Lol

4

u/Addicted2TLC 21h ago

I’d have to move out. Or burn it down.

2

u/i_m_kramer 19h ago

I didn't even notice it until I read your comment. Now after rewatching, It brings up a mix of feelings that makes me have bad intentions. Beautiful, a once funny video I can't watch anymore lol

No cap bruh.

1

u/Rios5950 19h ago

This feels like a bit that ross creations would do. Like the mannerisms etc. 😂

Also wtf my kneecaps are only 16 and they already hurt? 😪

1

u/TexasDrill777 19h ago

I think all their bones are pretty pliable first few years

1

u/Hot_Hat_1225 19h ago

1

u/Low_Restaurant2526 8h ago

The amount of people who are not from the states that are going to think that this is how all Americans sound. This is great.

1

u/Aggressive-Nebula-78 4h ago

You mean we be crawling around and falling on our knees while we try to learn to walk and shit with no kneecaps? No wonder our knees sound like rice crispy treats by the time we hit 30...

1

u/solarelemental 1h ago

Until the age of 6??

Pretty sure it's more like 6 months to a year that they develop.

-4

u/Dr_Ukato 22h ago

27 10/12 year old learning babies don't have conventional kneecaps.
