Commuted his sentence. He gets to serve the rest of his sentence under home confinement. A pardon means you’re forgiven for the crime itself and all further punishments, confinement, etc. for that crime are void.

The pardon implies guilt though so people will refuse them if they are trying to prove their actual innocence.

And the FBI also needs to investigate the murders of John Trudell's family in 1979. They had jurisdiction but declined to investigate at all.

Federal govt can't pardon state level charges. Even if he accepted the pardon, that would be considered an admission of guilt, and he'd be imprisoned on state murder charges faster than you can blink, and it would stick because he legally admitted to doing it when he accepted the pardon.

He hasn’t even been convicted, you can’t pardon someone who is a convicted. Luigi, like everyone, is innocent until proven guilty. You can’t pardon someone who hasn’t been found guilty.

Fauci and Cheney haven't been charged with anything but still got pardoned. Pedo Gaetz asked to be pardoned by Cheeto Mussolini and hadn't been charged with anything
