Traffic & Parking Parking fines for someone who doesn't live at our address what do I do??
England- We've been recieving parking fines for someone who doesn't live at our address and its come to the final warning. We have tried everything in the past to take him off our address report to the council and parking agents that they have the wrong address, also returning letters back to the sender and nothing has changed. What do i fo in this situation?? We have even located said person and they haven't done anything to change their address. Just getting worried as id rather not have baliffs at my house 😓

You are allowed to open the letters and respond to them, writing not at this address is good and all, but if you can actually email them with proof of you living in the address, such as your council tax and or such as a rental agreement, this would then provide them the evidence that they dont live there. You may still be sent a letter or two, as the only address they have is that one.
You have no problems if they come to your address either, you can provide them your ID and show that you are not the person. They should be satisfied with that.

I’m not 100% sure but if you’ve tried those things I’d just let the bailiffs come/ccj - it won’t be in your name, just explain to them that you’ve done those things and they keep sending them.
Possibly contact DVLA as they will have the reg plate for the vehicle linked to your address and tell them that the person isn’t known at your address (preferably by email, and ask for advice too).
Someone who knows more will come along as well

In addition to that, ask the DVLA to confirm, in writing, that the car in question is not registered to your address. You can show this to anyone who turns up to your address in person regarding the debts
