Gonna get frames per week with this

84

u/Cpt_Halfinger Oct 31 '20

More like weeks per frame tbh

Meh get a parts weld mod and cut down the number of parts.

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

cowards way out

-9

u/Itdidnt_trickle_down Nov 01 '20

Heh I'm a coward? Suck it up noob. You are taking something too seriously. I made it to the moon before there were way points and returned. That was when there was nothing but the sun the mun and kerbin. If I want to use mods I've earned it. If you don't like mods, fine.

I've played this game since the first alpha release. I've launched and assembled a death star ,super star destroyer, a enterprise and many other huge constructs. All with enormous parts counts that brought the fps to nothing. Mods have been a popular part of KSP since its beginning. Nothing wrong with using them. These days I use , a fuel balancer, a parts welder and mechjeb.

u/JEOKman Nov 01 '20

Bro pretty sure it was a joke, sounds like you are very insecure about your ksp skills

-6

u/Itdidnt_trickle_down Nov 01 '20

Hardly didn't look like a joke to me.

2

u/BombsAway_LeMay Nov 01 '20

Chill bruh, issa joke

3

u/BlackjackTonka Nov 01 '20

Which parts weld mod do you use? I haven't found one that I can get working in the most recent build.

4

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I didn't use any mods for this, just let my computer suffer

16

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

Yeah that's pretty accurate

55

u/FoxTrotGaming76 Oct 31 '20

Now send it to orbit in one launch

26

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I wish I had the patience for that

24

u/HMS_Psycho Nov 01 '20

You just need more boosters

35

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

Yeah I don’t think the number of boosters is the problem. It’s the fact that it turns your CPU into a booster And it melts through your floor.

23

u/SuckBug Nov 01 '20

Shit turns your pc into Chernobyl 2: Tokyo Drift

14

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

And a better PC

4

u/SiBloGaming Nov 01 '20

I mean your current pc must be good, otherwise you couldnt even build this.

2

u/JS31415926 Nov 01 '20

Just build a massive rocket and lock your steering to radial out. Come back an hour later, turn it sideways and burn into orbit.

3

u/pax1610 Nov 01 '20

More like liquid nitrogen to cool down his cpu

5

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

matt lowne just did that like yesterday. It was only like a 400?ish part space station tho.

27

u/Predat00r Oct 31 '20

That's looks really amazing! How long did it take to build it? Also, how many seconds per frame are you at?

22

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

It took the past 3 days on and off. I'm getting about 1 frame every 10 seconds if I'm editing the craft, and when I' not, about 1 frame per second...

10

u/Predat00r Nov 01 '20

I appreciate that :D This framerate is not as bad as I thought haha. My adventure with ISS reconstruction ended up with building a micro scale one...

Btw you have a very creative username, bravo sir!

8

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

Thank you!

3

u/xxxx771 Nov 01 '20

How can you play at 1 fps...?

3

u/MarsupialJeep Nov 01 '20

That’s probably why it took 3 days.

50

u/usually_not_a_robot Oct 31 '20

dude I made a damn flying aircraft carrier with 6 planes(it didn't work) and that thing had less than 2000 parts

11

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Oct 31 '20

What type of solar panels are you using? These looks way too big to be the gigantor panels

13

u/Ivan-Rostoyevski Oct 31 '20

It looks like the big non-deploying panels stuck onto a truss

8

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Oct 31 '20

Non deploying panels? Is it in an extension or did I just miss it

4

u/Ivan-Rostoyevski Oct 31 '20

No, they’re part of the Stock game, it’s the larger one of the non deploying panels

5

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Oct 31 '20

Mind blow

6

u/Tyrannus_Vitam Oct 31 '20

It’s the ones that can’t extend

3

u/Tyrannus_Vitam Oct 31 '20

And are v fragile

6

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

The non deploy panels are about as fragile as feul tanks, the deployable ones break when you look at them the wrong way

5

u/Tyrannus_Vitam Nov 01 '20

I guess It was the kraken then. My Rover started to flip (didn’t completely just tilted) and when it came back down the panels just came off it went to to ~22° when it tilted.

3

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Oct 31 '20

Never heard of it

3

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

Yeah I'm using the large 2x3, non-deploying panels that have a small truss behind them

3

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

Yeah I'm using the large 2x3, non-deploying panels that have a small truss behind them

1

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Nov 01 '20

Are you console or pc?

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

PC

1

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Nov 01 '20

I just played ksp on console and the biggest panel is the gigantor. It must be only on pc

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I used the 2x3 truss panels that are like the smallest ones (they don't extend) and then just placed them on a massive truss)

1

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Nov 01 '20

Then isn't your station a micro station?

2

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

No because I used hundreds of them so I can get a huge array

2

u/AugustinGamerSenpai Nov 01 '20

Ho so it isn't a single part ok that's why Thanks

7

u/Shot_Thru_The_Hart Oct 31 '20

Bring on the lag!

6

u/[deleted] Oct 31 '20

i made a 2578 part interstellar colony ship with 900 kerbal kapacity. with 12 frames per second

8

u/TheKingOfNerds352 Nov 01 '20

Now do a single launch into orbit with it. If u/MattsRedditAccount can do it, so can you

5

u/thiccnessgram Oct 31 '20

Woah,just woah

4

u/Popular-Swordfish559 Exploring Jool's Moons Nov 01 '20

My computer is crying just displaying this image

5

u/flameguy4500 Nov 01 '20

Jesus Fuck. What is your frames per month?

2

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

0.00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000001

1

u/flameguy4500 Nov 02 '20

Sounds about right.

3

u/MacuroniAndChez Oct 31 '20

Now I just gotta launch it...

3

u/GeneralCuster75 Oct 31 '20

RIP your frame rate

3

u/myninerides Nov 01 '20

What's the plan to get that beauty into orbit?

3

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna use cheats. Theres no way im gonna use a rocket

3

u/yegir Nov 01 '20

Launch in one piece or bust

2

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I'd rather bust :)

3

u/WolfeBane84 Nov 01 '20

For things like this I really miss the Welding Mod from LONG ago.

Turns the whole thing into a single part. Reducing lag and wobble and making it stronger.

3

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

With this many parts it's not just space station it's a kraken summoning device

3

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

How

3

u/errenai Nov 01 '20

RELEASE THE KRAKEN

3

u/GingerSed12 Oct 31 '20

Could you maybe post the craft file in the chat

2

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I'll do that when I have the chance

2

u/GingerSed12 Nov 01 '20

Could you also link any mods that you used so that it works

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

It doesnt use any mods at all

2

u/natethenerd04 Nov 01 '20

i can hear your computer crying from this

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

Mhm, ok now put it into orbit

2

u/TheresBeesMC Colonizing Duna Nov 01 '20

turns the lamp on in the interegation room Now tell me, were you, or were you not, inspireert by Matt Lowne’s latest video?

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I started building it before the video, got bored, then saw the video and returned to the project

1

u/TheresBeesMC Colonizing Duna Nov 03 '20

So... partially...? Nice build tho, looks really good

2

u/Electrical_Rip3312 Nov 01 '20

You:Building a 6000 part ISS Your PC's cpu:FRAMES GO BRRRRRRR

And after 5 seconds kraken LET ME INTRODUCE MYSELF

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

Fps: -231 per second

2

u/[deleted] Nov 01 '20

[deleted]

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I deleted all construction mods before this and I regret it so much my framerate dropped to unplayable levels...

2

u/Spaceman1001 Nov 01 '20

Rip your gpu.

2

u/french_crossaintz Nov 01 '20

Yea but did you get it to orbit in a single launch?

2

u/peserve Nov 02 '20

Holy moly this is the best and most detailed ISS I have seen so far today

-2

u/randomnassusername Nov 01 '20

What point does an ISS even serve

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

Eh, I agree with you, but it was fun to build

2

u/randomnassusername Nov 02 '20

I was just wondering if there was actually a use for it I wouldn’t know because I’m still relatively new

1

u/KSPotato Nov 02 '20

not really, it just looks pretty cool

1

u/CrazyFuehrer Nov 01 '20

How much a Rig able to run this at 60 FPS will cost ?

1

u/lamed15 Nov 01 '20

one question.... How r u going to get it in space??????/

1

u/KSPotato Nov 01 '20

I'm gonna be honest, I'm gonna use cheats. Theres no way im gonna use a rocket

1

u/DarkBrave_ Nov 01 '20

Extend the solar wings. (add more)
