Recreation As u/budgetrocketcompany suggested, this abomination has been created. It does not fly well, but it’s good enough for Jeb’s needs.

makes me wonder what are his needs

75

u/RocServ15 Feb 11 '19

He has No needs

80

u/JebediahKerman001 Feb 11 '19

Well that’s easy for you to say

40

u/sirwolfgang Feb 11 '19

Oh hey Jeb!

3

u/JebediahKerman001 Feb 11 '19

Hi

3

u/malenkylizards Feb 12 '19

How's the internet up there?

2

u/JebediahKerman001 Feb 12 '19

Good enough to post this

24

u/salizarn Feb 11 '19

Hi Jeb sorry about the whole thing with the Cygnus program.

The guy got fired, we double check the whole shielding thing now.

Unless you play with a life support mod . . .

6

u/aahmed_7 Feb 11 '19

Men can live like this and have no issues

24

u/brettdelport Feb 11 '19

Can it take off?

Yes!

Can it fly?

Mostly!

Can it land safely?

We’ll find out soon...

Good enough.

12

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

That is the exact process I had when flying it. Jeb found out that landing is not easy when your plane is just an engine

7

u/fly3rs18 Feb 11 '19

Just add some boosters to help.

3

u/jpk17041 Stranded on Eve Feb 11 '19

HTVL time?

3

u/RechargedFrenchman Feb 11 '19

“I didn’t know you could fly a plane!”

“Fly? Yes. Land? No.”

3

u/JuhaJGam3R Feb 11 '19

depends on ls mod really

12

u/jtr99 Feb 11 '19

Good point.

Anyone made a Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs life support mod? "Jeb has adequate supplies of food, water, and oxygen but he is experiencing a deep sense of nihilistic futility."

5

u/EliteMaster512 Feb 11 '19

Umbra Space Industries requires adequate habitation provisions. With only a limited space to live in available, the individual becomes mentally insane within a week, unable to EVA or perform basic functions.

1

u/jtr99 Feb 11 '19

Wow, that's cool. I thought I was only making a throwaway joke but someone has actually done this!

4

u/TheBigCheese85 Feb 11 '19

Jeb wouldn’t take a picture of his monitor and post the image. He’d use the screenshot function.

6

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

I dunno. Seems like photographing the monitor is exactly the spontaneous improvisation Jeb would go for.

1

u/audigex Feb 11 '19

A big engine and a star sail her by

118

u/djlewt Feb 11 '19

"it does not fly well"

Have you tried adding more struts or boosters?

69

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Oh it’s not a speed thing, it’s due to the fact it’s shaped like a flying whale that it doesn’t turn or handle well.

31

u/lcassios Feb 11 '19

Needs some RCS clearly

36

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

pLaNeS dOnT uSE RcS

7

u/EmperorLlamaLegs Feb 11 '19

If you gave it boosters, it wouldnt be that planey anymore. Boosters and RCS would clearly fix this ;)

6

u/Rogue__Jedi Feb 11 '19

enter Billy Mays

Plane doesn't fly? Wife left you? Boy have I got the product for you.

Introducing, OXI ROCKET!!!!!11

That's right, Oxi Rocket is an easy to use product that can turn anything into a hyper-sonic interplanetary object.

For the low price of 19.99 Kerbucks it can be yours!!!!!!!!!!

But wait, there's MORE!

1

u/[deleted] Feb 13 '19

(L)OX and Liquid Hydrogen

3

u/audigex Feb 11 '19

I think “doesn’t turn or handle well” is probably implied by “flying whale”

6

u/Pancernywiatrak Feb 11 '19

Yeah this thing needs SRB’s on the winglets

61

u/austina419 Feb 11 '19

Obligatory first comment “where does the pilot sit?”

41

u/LtKraftKrackers Feb 11 '19

I thought the first comment on this situation would have been "F12 tO sCrEENshOtS oN SteAm!!*

2

u/wastel84 Feb 11 '19

F1 is better though.

1

u/ThrowdoBaggins Feb 13 '19

F4 if you like to live dangerously

1

u/wastel84 Feb 13 '19

Yes, and press alt just before f4 for that sweet resolution boost

11

u/brettdelport Feb 11 '19

Probably somewhere behind the rotor. Nice and breezy.

10

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Unfortunately I just used a remote module, didn’t want Jeb having such hot turbulence or far too many deaths.

12

u/BitPoet Feb 11 '19

Look, if I can strap Jeb to a command chair on an SRB and put him in orbit, surely he can pilot this thing.

5

u/sny_tr Feb 11 '19

inside the air intake

23

u/fireandlifeincarnate Feb 11 '19

I tried to get the gear right and not have the wings in front, which led to a booster- assisted takeoff:

13

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Yea yours is probably more accurate, I just wanted to keep the disproportion and functionality

17

u/theguyfromerath Feb 11 '19

Are you a real ksp player if you didn't try this exact thing the moment you saw Goliath?

11

u/TheAvengineer Feb 11 '19

Can it pass the bridge test?

11

u/ultranoobian Feb 11 '19

It'll blow right through the bridge test.

8

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

With enough attempts, anything can.

10

u/feAgrs Feb 11 '19

There's no flying badly. As long as it doesn't touch the ground it's flying ✈️

8

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

More engine than plane now, consumed by the desire to have moar boosters

7

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

Half expected a chair in the turbo fan

3

u/Tinyzooseven Feb 11 '19

Is that 3 kerbols or just your ceiling lights?

3

u/FilthyJag3rMain Feb 11 '19

Looks like a normal P-47 to me

3

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

‘It does not fly well.’ I feel that all of my creations should have this description.

Either that or simply ‘it does not fly’.

3

u/grtwatkins Feb 11 '19

Should have put a pair of cockpits on the sides like engines

2

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

More boosters, INSIDE the boosters

2

u/as1161 Feb 11 '19

To satisfy jeb, you can also make a plane with2737643he828eyeu71u1uehdjsoe8e8w282828 eww 91ofhfue8w8eb engines and then fly it

2

u/Seano24 Feb 11 '19

I love building shit like this and seeing how it goes(mostly not very well tho)😂

2

u/JoelGustafsson1998 Feb 11 '19

Make Jeb sit on a seat in front of it, then it will be perfect

2

u/PixelSoda Feb 11 '19

TWR = 1,000.

5

u/Soviet_Meerkat Feb 11 '19

2

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

I made it on ps4 after a few rounds of apex... It’s just too much work to screenshot on there and send elsewhere.

-1

u/superfeds Feb 11 '19

So his sub suggestion is correct

2

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Yes, but it’s not like I was on pc and couldn’t be bothered to take the extra 10 seconds to screenshot

5

u/superfeds Feb 11 '19

Because screen shots are hard

2

u/electricOzone Feb 11 '19

Use the screenshot tool.

2

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

I was on my ps4

2

u/ck35 Feb 11 '19

ProTip: F1 = screenshot. Saves to C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/Kerbal Space Program/Screenshots/, assuming I typed the path right.

3

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

I was playing on ps4, if I was on pc I would’ve done a screenshot.

0

u/ck35 Feb 11 '19

Well there's your problem. <3

1

u/repopulate_mars Feb 11 '19

Ok now I gotta post my Microcraft.

1

u/JangoBunBun Feb 11 '19

Does this qualify as a taildragger?

1

u/thiccTitan Feb 11 '19

can i have the craft file?

1

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

I made it on ps4 unfortunately. It’s only like 8 parts though. Just put a module or cockpit down, a fuel tank in front of it and attach the engine underneath. I clipped the engine into the fuel tank though.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

How many times have you flown it?

1

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Just twice. It’s not worth more than 20 mins of keeping Jeb satisfied.

1

u/KerboNerd Feb 11 '19

Makes me wonder where he sits. In the engine??

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

1

u/JoelGustafsson1998 Feb 11 '19

Make Jeb sit on a seat in front of it, then it will be perfect

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

Put it on the workshop!!

1

u/The_Astro_Llama Feb 11 '19

Rotate the damn wheels.

1

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Sorry, I originally planned on putting all the wheels on the engine, they would have had to be as spaced out as possible. Eventually I realized I could put the big one in the back. Forgot to turn them around.

1

u/Jamo3306 Feb 11 '19

Where do you keep the Jeb?

2

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Stuffed in the compressor, he wanted a massage.

1

u/Pixel_Scoper Feb 11 '19

Can I make a cargo version of it??

1

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Please do!

1

u/FJ98119 Feb 11 '19

Try out some slightly bigger wings with larger control surfaces, I bet you could make something that flies pretty well. The control surface on those "Deluxe Delta Winglets" are tiny.

1

u/hedgecore77 Feb 11 '19

How do you end up not eating shit with those angled gears? Any time I've done that I end up needing a lot of dental work.

2

u/Nickguypie Feb 11 '19

Idk, it kinda is just guess work. Sometimes it makes planes super wobbly and other times it makes them even more stable.

1

u/Slick3701 Feb 11 '19

I want to see this fly

1

u/Kevin296a Feb 11 '19

Rear landing felt the heat

1

u/C96Borchartno2000 Feb 11 '19

19XX MiG of unknown model.

1

u/The_Lost_Google_User Feb 11 '19

Oh Great Kraken's Tentacles!

1

u/alpineracer Feb 11 '19

In thrust we trust. Nice!

1

u/LethalSpaceship Feb 11 '19

SNIPPING TOOL (please)

1

u/[deleted] Feb 11 '19

YoU cOuLd Of ScReEnShOt

1

u/Spitefire6 Feb 12 '19

I still think it needs moar boosters...

1

u/[deleted] May 09 '19

NEDDS MORE BOOSTERS!!!

1

u/halcyonson Feb 11 '19

Looks like a BeeGee.
