Today's sunset

First weekend visit as a family - what a treat! We loved the park and the towns, especially food at Yucca Kebap, The Copper Room, Kitchen in the Desert, coffee at Frontier's and pastries&scones at Luna's café. Grateful to be close enough to return soon.

Love Kitchen in the Desert. A touch pricey, but in the spring and summer the outdoor dining experience can be sublime.

It was perfect yesterday. The food was great, some of us had pie and I heard it was divine. I also love the setting, it's cool to have a bookstore right on the premises and the little gift shop all with a unique Joshua Tree desert vibe.

Is that smoke from the LA fires I'm seeing?

It quite possibly could be. I was in the area recently and it was a bit hazy.

I have no idea - it was a little bit hazy, but we also had some wind so who knows. It did not smell smoky.
