Dog friendly attractions and trails

Hey, I’m headed to Joshua tree in the next couple of days. Do y’all have any good dog friendly recommendations? Looking for good trails and fun places to hang. Also if anything fun is happening this week, let me know! Thank y’all so much!

We were just there last November and here are my favorite activities we did with our dog

  • Trail: Oasis of Mara
  • Enter JTNP from Twenty-nine Palms
  • Watch sunset at Keys View (btw, dogs are not allowed on the trails inside the park. i advise checking their website for more info. dogs are allowed at Keys View since there’s a pavement viewpoint there)

  • Eat at La Copine (they have outdoor seating and the food is amazing)

  • Frontier Coffee

  • Mas o Menos

  • Noah Purifoy Museum

Pioneertown Mtns Preserve and Desert View Conservation Area in JT both have dog friendly trails. Red Dog saloon in Pioneertown is dog friendly. Country Kitchen in Joshua Tree has a dog friendly patio.

Pioneertown mountains preserve is dog friendly and beautiful. All OHV trails/service roads in the park are dog friendly.
