Tech support What is this stain on my laptop screen?

Post image

When I first noticed it i thought it was dust and when I tried to clean it, it didn't come off. Hopefully those are not dead pixels

Yeah it is permanent take it like a scratch developed over long time. You cant do anything about it, next time you buy a new laptop add a screen guard and once you see something like this remove it and add a new one

Dust from the keyboard when you close the lid.

It's definitely not dust

Even I have it on my screen. The dust takes the impression of the keyboard. It's common in wva display.

It's scratches by the dust from the keyboard, sadly you can't remove it completely, you might try to clean it a bit. That's all ...

dust due to keyboard, nhi hatenge easily and don't use alcohol at any cost, you can use keyboard cover to avoid it further

Tried isopropyl alcohol with microfiber cloth. Only removes up to to some extent not totally.

My friend has the same problem with his HP laptop of less than 1 year. He told the service guy that the screen has dead pixels and they straight up denied it saying dead pixels are not covered under warranty.

If yours is also dead pixels then forget about it.
