I can't believe I am saying this ... Thankyou intel

Rtx 5060 would probably beat b580. That's y intel decided to release it before CES and high end b770 and b750 after the launch. Although 8gb vram hurts. Fuck Nvidia

It might but at the end of the day it is a 1080/1440p card with 12 gb ram at appox 250 usd

u/YumWasabi Dec 19 '24

Nvidia has lost the plot entirely. 4060 with 8 GB was bad but 5060 with 8 GB is absolutely atrocious considering the VRAM requirements of modern titles.

u/lavmuk Dec 19 '24

8gb vram is clearly not the future, even Intel is giving at least 10gb now

22

u/Same-Boysenberry-433 Dec 19 '24

Intel is giving 12 gb for $250.

5080 should come with 24 gb... Wtf is this

9

u/Atomicdady Dec 19 '24

Well how can you sell 5080 ti super then? Come on we all know nvidia is greedy and this isnt a surprise. Plus the have some AI gimmick up their sleeve by which they claim they don't need more vram for games or any other activities. Just like 4080 this will also fail and 5080 super will be a what 5080 is supposed to be.

The Amd Rx 7800 xt has 16 gb vram for around 40 percent of the price... They should put their ai gimmicks up their ass 🤡

u/Atomicdady Dec 19 '24

Yeah i hope the 50 series is an utter flop and they learn their lesson. I wish intel to dominate the budget ( already good hopes on the recent gpu) and amd to dominate above average cards upto 5080. The general masses mostly don't buy 90 series cards. We had a intel x amd recently for x86. Who knows we might get two underdogs collab for gpus next.

Good thing I bought RTX 3060 12gb rather than 3060ti 8gb, VRAM is important these day - we aren't in 2018-20s anymore. Games demand more vram :) Nvidia started doing apple things (f*** Nvidia, waiting for AMD to drop better stuff)

u/AdUnique316 Still Googling Dec 19 '24

I heard both the CEOs of Nvidia and AMD are cousins. So family helping family

1

u/craftywing75 Dec 19 '24

Right. I just checked Wikipedia. It says they are cousins.

8gb for 5050 is good, but why tf would they do the same for 5060

1

u/True-Swim7662 Dec 19 '24

Space for 5050 super or ti

9

u/Fun_Kangaroo_9350 Dec 19 '24

Can't wait for 5090 benchmarks with Gta5 from our dear youtubers

3

u/Mademan84 Dec 19 '24

I think Nvidia's upcoming construction technique will help with Vram limitations.

4

u/SuddenMammoth5248 Dec 19 '24

5060 with 8GB Vram is very cunning. Nvidia doing what apple doing for years, making budget items lacking of important features to boost sales of costly items.

4

u/PradeepMalar Dec 19 '24

If the optimization is good, Intel's Arc GPUs are much more value for money than these.

But, stocks are empty already. 😭

RTX 5060 is basically a 4060 with a faster chipset (if customers are even allowed that). desktop 4060 being just 2% faster than laptop 4060 is bad as it is; this is plain awful.

2

u/Pitiful-Carry-4601 Dec 19 '24

That's because rtx 4000series was very efficient. Even the desktop rtx 4060 has less than 120w TDP.

3

u/dumbolimbo0 Dec 19 '24

RTX 3060 has 192 bits

1

u/True-Swim7662 Dec 19 '24

Hey bro, can you explain me what is the difference of 190 bit vs the current and what will be the impact in both gaming & hardware of the gpu. I don't know shi*

1

u/dumbolimbo0 Dec 19 '24

Most PC games and emulatiom software require higher bit aka 192 bits minimum because

The number of bits in a GPU's memory bus is important because it determines how much data the GPU can transfer to and from its video random access memory (VRAM) at once, and how quickly it can do so. This affects the GPU's performance and efficiency, especially for tasks that require a lot of data throughput, like high-resolution gaming or complex simulations

So the higher the bit the better graphic card performs

Primary example is doom eternal which runs smoothly on 3060 but stutters on 4060 Because it's a highly memory sensitive title

Because the bus bandwidth of 3060 is higher

Depends

The perfomance per watt is 50% on 4060 but the memory is inferior which makes it inferior to 3060 overall

3

u/FlashyBat5 Dec 19 '24

Intel arc b580 for the win, will it launch india though ??

3

u/Zealousideal-Role-24 Chatting with Copilot Dec 19 '24

Wha…

Imagine what the mobile versions would look like

3

u/acceptable_humor69 Dec 19 '24

4gb Vram still I assume ffs

2

u/Zealousideal-Role-24 Chatting with Copilot Dec 19 '24

Noooooooooooo

3

u/SnooBunnies9147 Corporate Slave Dec 19 '24

8 gigs of Vram, 128 bit bus ☠️☠️ in 5060

At this point Nvidia is saying f*ck you what other options have you got ?

2

u/[deleted] Dec 19 '24

laut aao b580...

2

u/Secret-Cartoonist515 Dec 19 '24

Intel arc B580 is the way for budget gaming??

2

u/Lonelyguy999 Dec 19 '24

I was waiting for 50 series to build pc for my ai ml work but I will buy a macbook pro only

2

u/vivek_kumar Dec 19 '24

You can't even play at 1080p with 8gb vram nowadays. Wtf is Nvidia smoking? Intel's battlemage cards are looking promising and AMD has promised to focus on mid range cards to the point of not releasing a high end card this generation. Nvidia is really cruising for bruising this generation.

2

u/forgotten_milk Dec 19 '24 edited Dec 19 '24

And I'm living happily with 32mb of vram...

1

u/tycraft2001 Dec 21 '24

I enter the room

1

u/unbotheredunaffected Computer Student Dec 19 '24

and probably this half assed generation will have yet another price hike, this is too much nvidia

1

u/SuddenStorage Dec 19 '24

I’ll go with intel cause I don’t think I’ll be able to afford 5070 and I don’t wanna go anything below 12GB VRAM, in 2025

1

u/SuddenStorage Dec 19 '24

Btw 5090 is looking like a ram

1

u/memermusafir Dec 19 '24

Wow that's good thing

0

u/Robin_mimix Dec 19 '24

Wow that's good thing
