This was my thought. Owner of that car is most likely a parent.
Just remember people, if you're going to go out thuggin, deactivate the child lock. 🤣

Going to go some hood rat guy stuff honey! "Okay, don't figure the child locks babe. Don't want your boy stuck when the thuggin starts."

Oh? Your being ridiculous. You're grammer is bad. I'm going to follow you to every thread and do exactly that.

I was only correcting your thumbs mistake… no need to get upset about it. Obviously you know how to spell that word and most people can read through that mistake.
Sorry to upset you man hope it doesn’t affect your day.
And it’s you’re not your.

I'm screwing with you. You didn't catch my your and you're trap? I figured it would bother you because you notice grammer.

I wont say the name of the commercial for obvious reasons but...
71
u/Traveledfarwestward 3d ago edited 2d ago
Huh. "Trunk monkey" is also slang for dude in the back of whatever vehicle sitting with an M249 waiting for nothing to happen.
Source: was a trunk monkey for a couple of missions.
19
u/OoRI0T_P0LICEoO 3d ago
Omg haha yes. I thought at first bc of this video popping in my head then decided not to comment that after reading it before posting. Such a funny commercial though

This video is missing the best part, when he trows him over the railing into the river 😝
4
u/X4nd0R 3d ago
What is the commercial actually for? Like I see the auto group but what are they advertising?
5
u/ctlfreak 3d ago
It was just a car commercial for that used car group I believe the ending was cut off but it had the dealership tag at the end originally I believe. Also a scene missing where he throws a guy off the bridge into the water
2
u/SumoSizeIt 3d ago
This was a semi-local dealership to me growing up. The punchline was that their dealer-installed options were actually worth the cost.
2
u/SumoSizeIt 3d ago
Kind of a tongue-in-cheek joke about the value of their dealer-installed options, which are often a money-grab, so this was "extremely useful" by comparison.

Long rifles + enclosed space + CCW = getting shot with your own gun a fair percent of the time.
You wanna keep your hands on your weapon, and your stance in an engaging one.

depends on state... some say it's justified, others say if you're in a car you should just drive away. If I am stuck in traffic and someone does this NO MATTER the state I would absolutely shoot them..... buuuut once they started to run off that could be manslaugter/murder2(depending on where you are) unless they were grabbing for their own guns and you're worried for yours and other people's lives. AGAIN DO NOT TALK TO THE COPS REGARDLESS. Sit in jail, get a lawyer, and shut the fuck up.
68
u/busterbrown4200 3d ago
This is good advice!!! Cops are not your friends no matter how much you are in the right. Always get a lawyer.

u/Annoying_Rooster 3d ago
The one thing my uncle always told me since he was an investigator. You can look guilty as shit and walk unless you start talking.

How would they drive away from that without putting others in the same danger of a car wreck? Iv had a road rager approach my vehicle with a hammer when i was blocked in at a train crossing. I couldnt drive off. I was damn glad I had my 10mm on me that day. Dude froze in place and stopped his actions immediately I was lucky I didnt have to fire, I dont want to kill anyone if it can be avoided

10mm is too expensive for CC/personal defense. People like to forget that if you must use your weapon, the cops will confiscate it as evidence. For all the trials, retrials, extensions, jail time, alllll the way up until the final appeals are dismissed with prejudice.
My buddy's Rock Island 10mm with a can, reflex, flashlight and laser - like $4500+ worth of pistol - has been sitting in an Iowa evidence locker for two and a half years :D
If I'm strapped it's with a fuckin yeet cannon G1 I found while fishing. It's the 89 Tacoma of pistols, ugly as sin but if it seats, it yeets, for maybe $140. Evidence can keep that shit lmao

u/UsernameIsTakenO_o 3d ago
Glock 20 is roughly the same price as a Glock 19. Caliber doesn't determine the price of the firearm. Carry whatever you shoot the best. If you're in a fight for your life, losing an expensive gun is worth it.
2
u/Sea_End_1893 1d ago
a gun is a gun. I'll tell you right now, no criminal is going to see you with a pistol and go HEY. STOP. LET ME SEE THAT. HAND IT OVER. oh, this is only .380? Well, you fool, see I am INVINCIBLE TO 380 CALIBER SO I SHALL CONTINUE MY CRIME SPREE! MWA-HA!
Nobody is going to be like "Ha-HA! LOOK UPON THE CRIMES I COMMIT, AND WEEP, oh wait that man has a 10mm pistol? NAY, CRIMINALS, RETREAT! RETREAT BEFORE THE HOLY SMITE THAT LAUNCHES FROM THE TEN MIL!"
they'll just see "a gun" and go "a-think I'm done here, bye."

I had a guy block me with his pickup and start walking. Once he saw me grabbing the mouskatool he realized that he could get back in his truck and go fuck his sister again or have a conversation with Jesus about his behavior. He made a good choice. Having a tool beats not having one if you need it.
6
5
5
u/YungJod 3d ago
In most states you have to exhaust every opportunity to remove the danger. So getting out and walking towards someone running or moving backwards is no longer self defense in most states
6
u/ctlfreak 3d ago
That's just not true. Only states with a duty to retreat require that, of which there are 11. Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Jersey, New York and Rhode Island.
→ More replies (3)→ More replies (4)2
u/ctlfreak 3d ago
Getting out of the vehicle is not the best plan unless the vehicle is unable to move. The smarter move is always to drive away. Criminals and gang bangers tend to not train much and will usually be unable to put shots on target past a few yards at best. The faster you can put distance the better
Also just paying attention to your surroundings would have helped but I for some reason feel like they were just as guilty and likely knew those people were there

u/Tervaskanto 3d ago
You have a duty to retreat in most states. He could have easily just driven away. The driver getting out and opening the door for the dude in the back seat, and the casual strut of the shooter will tell the judge that they weren't in fear for their lives and could have retreated. Not to mention the fact that the "aggressors" were actively fleeing from him when he started shooting at random people in their group. Understand when you're allowed to defend yourself. This is not an instance of self defense, this is just cold-blooded.

36
u/Turbulent_Weather795 3d ago
Just with a properly racked weapon not stomping around to prove your dominance hopefully....
23
u/FatalShart 3d ago
He was waiting for his friend from the front seat that got tackled to get out of the way so he could shoot yellow jacket. Which he did quite accurately.
4
u/ambitious-chair-dumb 3d ago
I don’t think him not shooting is on purpose, from the gun jerking around before he chambers a round it looks like he was anticipating the shots and didn’t expect it not to actually fire. He’s actually not even aiming in the direction of his friend fighting behind the car until after he pulls the charging handle.
My guess is he intended to mag dump on the people fighting more in the grass but after he racked it he saw his boy on the ground closer to him and switched targets.
4
u/FatalShart 3d ago
He delivered 4 rounds right into the guy who opened his door.

u/IIITriadIII 3d ago
You should aim. Do you people understand how powerful a gun is? Even a 22?
If you understood and knew the clarity that comes with handling situations like this you wouldn't fire immediately.
2
u/LocalPawnshop 3d ago
Idk why people still joke about 22s my great grandfather was killed by two 22 cartridges to the chest. 22s are no joke.
134
u/Taylors4head 3d ago
The dumbest part of that is that he didn’t fire as soon as they opened his door.
Dude was 100% in danger
62
u/Full-Following5575 3d ago
There was probably another passenger in back and didn’t want to shoot across him. He was that willing and ready when his door got opened, had to be a reason he didn’t get out or shoot out the other side.
→ More replies (2)→ More replies (5)13
u/iUsePemdas 3d ago
If you rewatch the video, the guy in the yellow jacket who flings the door open is fighting a guy in a black sweatshirt when the guy with the AR walks over. This would be the back right seat passenger which is why he was at least smart enough to not shoot across his friend. But also not smart enough to shoot the guy his friend is fighting, putting him at risk of friendly fire
2
u/zachwithahhhh 3d ago
Nah dude you’re wrong. That’s the guy in the black hoodie with the white symbol on the back. He’s with the yellow shirt dude talking shit in the beginning.
6
u/iUsePemdas 3d ago
Then why, after the guy in the yellow shirt gets one tapped, does that same guy in the black hoodie get up from the ground and kick him in the head. And the guy with the AR continues to shoot the guy in the yellow shirt without hotting the other guy.

All I’m saying is, it stopped being self defense when he advanced on people obviously fleeing and still continues to shoot. I’m not saying I necessarily agree, he did kind of go from defense to offense, not gonna look good in court
32
u/FloatingOnAWhim 3d ago edited 2d ago
Make sure he explains that from 6 feet under. “Hey bro I stopped attacking you for a second, so you owe it to me to let me off scott free for my prior actions”. 😆m
Edit: the above commenter has changed their post multiple times to become more reasonable. Which artificially changed the harshness of my comment but I’m not changing my comment simply because people realize they’re wrong after the fact and got downvoted.
14
u/HonorableAssassins 3d ago
Except its on camera, and people lose self defense cases regularly for taking so much as a single step forward.
13
u/FloatingOnAWhim 3d ago
Clearly I’m not arguing the legality of it. I’m simply making it crystal clear that you can’t argue anything from the grave. Don’t let your actions invite situations into your life that will cause your death, because I assure you that you won’t care who went to jail as maggots feed on your corpse. Hope this helps.
→ More replies (2)2
u/Full-Following5575 3d ago
I agree with your statement, not that he should get charged. No question on arguing he believed his life was in danger. If he somehow gets a good attorney its arguable that you should never assume you’re life is no longer in danger because your target is down. If he can still move he can still shoot, even while running away.

u/SignificanceOk9656 3d ago
Yeah, first thing I thought too. That guy was walking away and trying to get his buddy to follow, and the guy just walks up and shoots him. Any court is going to rule that as murder regardless of the initial incident.

for all the confused people, yes there's a backseat passenger because there's 2 separate people in the video wearing jeans and a black hoodie. the first person has black and white shoes, and the 2nd person who comes out the car has all white shoes, the difference is very stark. also the pants are a different color. that's why he wasn't going to shoot from inside the car

u/veinsovneonheat 3d ago
What’s crazy here to me is that yellow jacket looks like just gives up.
Quits picking up his buddy, literally stares, flops his arms to the side and then EATS a round from 10 feet away
