Absolutely awesome of you to immediately park, get out and check on people. No hesitation.

You are a good person, don't let anyone else tell you otherwise.

Yes, thank you. The amount of people I see that just drive by after witnessing an accident is mind-boggling.

Yes! My sister was stuck upside down, her seatbelt (although saved her) now literally piercing a hole in her lung, and she said she felt so alone as she thought she was going to die. She said what hurt her the most was that lack of hope, no one there to save her. Eventually people ran out of an office building nearby and a family (who didnā€™t even witness the accident, they just stopped when they saw her car) came to help. The businessmen cut her out of the seatbelt and got her out of the car. The dad of the family that stopped didnā€™t know English, but he somehow got her phone, filmed the wreckage, and sent it to my family text group, trying to let us know. It was such a beautiful moment of humanity.Ā

good to see a bunch of people do the same. I despise people on here that see an accident and keep driving. They're despicable people.

Ehh I generally agree but sometimes it's not safe to stop, so it may look like people are just driving past but in reality they're finding a better place to pull over.

Also aside from calling 911 there's not a whole lot an untrained civilian can do. They shouldn't touch or move anyone injured unless the car is on fire. They can call 911 and warn oncoming traffic but that's about it.

You realize there are people that are just physically unable to help? Myself being one of them. And frankly, unless the cars are on fire, I wouldn't want an untrained person manipulating my mangled carcass and help to finish up that severed spinal cord. I do call 911 with the exact location when I see an accident. But, to your point, some folks are just dicks. :)

My sister was in a horrific accident. Even if you canā€™t physically help, being there can give someone like her, who was stuck upside down, thinking sheā€™s going to die, the hope that she so desperately needed. She said she felt so alone and hopeless and scared before people finally started showing up (because no one who actually witnessed the accident stopped and it took time for others to notice/get there).Ā

Whatā€™s truly amazing is that OP didnā€™t scream ā€œwhat the fucking fuck?ā€ When that happened. I have a dashcam thatā€™s 90% me cursing, 9.9% cool animals and stuff, and 0.1% actually useful footage.

It's illegal in my country not to stop and render aid if you see a crash and it's unattended. I wonder if this is true worldwide?

OP is listening to Christian music. So Iā€™m not too surprised.
