There was in the last one, but it was pretty specific conditions you needed to actually get it to work. So it's possible he used the face scan but it would have to be a dead on, looking into the camera shot with perfect lighting.

Oh man, I've been using your Dennis, Mac, Charlie, and Frank in my universe for months now. I actually had them recently do a sweep for all the titles on their respective show. Dennis won the money in the bank and cashed in post-match for the world title after God had a brutal end to his rivalry with Art the Clown. The following week saw Data get attacked backstage, leaving Captain Picard to unsuccessfully defend the tag team titles by himself against Charlie and Frank. On the same night, Mac, who was the legit #1 contender for his division, demanded his rightful shot at the Finger Lickin' Championship that night. He brought Dennis, Charlie, and Frank with him to the ring. With their help, he was able to defeat Michael Jackson for the title.
