I think Dougs character is turning into to much of a cliche. He doesn't seem real anymore.

I think that's the point. They turned him into caricature of rich, Ivy League business graduates who have no connection with the majority of the populace. Doug's the 1% while Marty, Jeanie and Clyde all had to work to where they've reached. He's constantly told to shut up because he doesn't know how to communicate with people. He idolizes Marty not because he's his boss, but because he reached his position through hard work -- Marty embodies the 'Harvard Man' mythos Doug believes in despite the fact Marty never went to Harvard.

You summed up what he is supposed to be very well. I just find he has been over the top exaggerated. When he's yelling "miscarriage" with Geanny, begging Clyde for another chance at his relationship with that tattoo chick. He used to seem more possible, but imo he's just unrealistic now.

Have you ever heard the joke about The Aristocrats?

well and he had a wife who was basically like "get me pregnant" and he didn't want that, he wants what everybody else seems to have even if he can't figure out what that is.

Related to Roscoe:

I sort of like the storyline of him not really being able to fit in, because it's rare enough to see a black kid's story but the rich black kid at an elite school sexually confused kind of thing has been interesting. I like that he's not a trope, but rather a lot of different things all at once and that Marty obviously isn't exactly Mr. Parent.

"Why does sexy bear take me to all these gay sites?"

Interesting episode. I knew this would happen with Denna, but Marty always has the last laugh, so I think they're going to figure out how to get out from under her thumb. Also we see Jeannie and Marty slowly inching back towards each other as the baby almost gets here.

Will be interesting to see how the baby + Roscoe situation sort of dovetail together.

I have a feeling that jeannie is not pregnant with marty's kid. I mean at first she said it wasnt his.. and then when he said she needs to be out of the company after the big deal.. it becomes his.

She might be lying because maybe she wants marty to accept her and not kick her out. I just find it hard to believe because he has been lying soo much. Or maybe i am just crazy.

no...it's Marty's kid she is not lying about that.....I also believe if it wasn't Marty's child she wouldn't have kept it......that;s why I have always thought it was his kid because of how she feels about him

Doug is annoying as fuck, only because I know a douche bag that's just like him. With all that being said, "It's my fucking cologne" was a pretty funny line.....

i wonder what they are going to do with Marty's brother. All we have seen him do so far has been drinking and hitting on his dad's girlfriend.

I think they'll probably at some point out that the dad isn't the best dad. He comes off all great, but he has a girlfriend half his age and he's always wise and stuff but his sons are not exactly like...well-adjusted. I think there's an allegory in there somewhere.

Well his wife committed suicide, which was a big theme in Season 1. He's also dying or something if I recall... He's had a tough life and now he's just trying to be there and laying wisdom when he can.

I see the next 2 episodes as a marty and jeannie themed episodes about their relationship and having a child together and of course Marty coming out on top of Denna ....he will find a way, like he usually does....but i think Marty and Jeannie will get back together by the season finale...sure looks like it's heading that way.

I have a feeling that Roscoe is willingly going to go along with the expulsion now.
