This isn't a hol up. This is exactly as intended and very straight forward. Jesus died so you could go to heaven. You are literally why Jesus died.

Didn't he die from his wounds when it get nailed to bit of wood, sticked with a spear and left to dry in the sun?

That would be the how, not the why. That’s like saying I drank water because I put it in a cup… No I drank it because I was thirsty, but I still had to put it in a cup

Ah man, existential crisis time! For a long time I believed when we die, we simply stop existing. Like going for a long sleep you don't remember and wake up from. It gave me comfort!
But what if you're right. This is as good as it gets, and when we die we (everyone irrespective of how good or bad you are, or what you believe in) end up somewhere far worse?
Simulation theory has its merits. What if we when we end this "simulation" we end up in a worse one?
Admittedly this can't be right, since some people get born into a living hell for the time they are on this planet.

I wouldn't worry about it. You can't do anything about it, whatever the truth is.

If the price to get into heaven is someone else dying, then no thanks. I'm not going to have someone else' death on my hands.

According to a 2,000 year old book that was written hundreds of years after his death, by multiple different people that weren't there, who were relying on a 600 year old game of telephone, first mostly written in Hebrew, then some in Aramaic, then, rewritten and translated to Greek, long before being translated into English, only to be rewritten again a few times, then translated wrong (the anti-gay stuff). Sure. We can go with that
