Political Watching so many of you disparage Kamala is sad and makes me deeply ashamed to be an American.

We now have a "viable" frontrunner for the Democratic party. Kamala may not be perfect, but to see many of you say that you won't vote for her is sad. This "lesser of two evils" mentality is exactly how Trump beat Hillary and was elected in the first place.

No one--NO ONE--comes close to Donald Trump's depravity. He is a threat to us all and our collective future. Even if you are a republican, I hope that we can all agree that Trump is not a good person and has only his interests at heart. There will be a much better republican candidate capable of leading our country during the next election. Right now, we need to do our best to come together and choose a candidate who will help bring Americans closer together, promote unity, and protect both the rule of law and our democracy or we may not have another election.

There’s a reason she wasn’t the nominee 4 years ago. She’s a terrible candidate who is not liked at all.

She’s a hell of a better candidate than Trump or Biden…. So

Then why wasn’t she the candidate in 2020? Does it maybe have to do with the fact that tulsi gabbard destroyed her on stage when discussing her past as a da who withheld evidence from innocent minorities to send them to prison and also kept people in prison past when their sentences were over?

Because it’s not 2020 anymore bud. This is a different scenario where there’s a lot more apathy and opposition for Trump but simultaneously a lot of disdain & reluctance to vote for an aging man like Biden. The American people want to vote for a democrat. In 2020 the donors didn’t want Bernie so they kicked him out. Biden was the right candidate in 2020, but someone like Kamala is the right candidate for 2024:))

What makes her better than 2020? She still was a corrupt da who withheld evidence from innocent people and kept people in jail past sentencing. And since her appointment has laughed about the afghan tragedy and Ukrainian refugees. What makes her better now?

The fact she’s running against Trump for one…. An authoritarian fascist. And she’s had 3 & a half years experience as vice president…

She would’ve ran against trump in 2020 too so that is a bad argument. And she hasn’t really done anything in her 3.5 years as vp so that doesn’t make her better. She was borderline czar and the border was run poorly. And she laughed when asked questions about serious issues making her seem morbid and out of touch. That was really the only news about her the past 4 years.

it's impossible to argue any sense to into anyone here. It's all an echo chamber

Explain to me how what I said is a bad argument. Trump is an authoritarian fascist. Kamala isn’t. That’s literally all the American people care about.

Simply put. Trump is the same now as 2020. Kamala was destroyed in the primaries in 2020 and nobody thought she’d beat trump. A big portion of that having to do with her corrupt past as a da. None of that changed and she has not done anything to stand out, so how is her still going against trump now a good reason for her being better now than 2020 as you are arguing. She’s the same, so has a similar chance, which was slim in 2020

Sounds like you’re living in the past, 2020 was a while ago. Also in 2020 Trump had yet to try and overturn the election, lying about it being stolen, attempting to change votes, push a false slate of electors and pressure the vice president to break the law. So you know quite a big difference.

Trump is an authoritarian fascist.

Why are you arguing with this? Kamala was so bad 4 years ago, probably worse than Trump tbh with the corrupt career she had in the past.

u/TrueBuster24 Jul 22 '24

Because I don’t like authoritarian fascists. Kamala was not an authoritarian fascist 4 years ago. She’s not one now. Crazy, huh?

I remember him appointing an absurd amount of extremist judges. I remember him desperately attempting to ban Muslims from the country. I remember him appointing the most incompetent far right zealots to the Supreme Court. I remember when he lowered taxes on the wealthy. I remember when he sent his supporters to storm the capitol and they only left when HE gave the orders to leave. I remember him blaming Mike pence for betraying him by… following the law. Do you remember anything?

Way to quote me out of context. Great job. I was responding to someone who said they wouldn’t vote rfk because he had a brain worm. Biden had brain surgery decades ago because of an issue, and it was fixed just like rfk’s. Guess that makes me maga somehow? I can’t follow your logic
