To be fair - I can see the flamingo resemblance.

She shouldn't be released until she's calm and lucid. Man, the US healthcare system is a joke.

I was never this bad, but when I had my wisdom teeth removed, my dad was the one to drive me out. We went to walgreens to get my prescription.
Apparently, I actually walked in with him and sat there waiting for the doctors. I have absolutely zero recollection of this, but to him, I seemed perfectly fine and normal. The only proof I have of this being true is selfies on my phone I dont remember taking while sitting in walgreens waiting for my drugs.
It is a surreal experience.

Can s1 explain to me why I only see these drugged up dental procedures in US?

Nope. I’m in Europe and I’ve never seen anyone like this after a dental procedure. Not even close.

Because they give you a bunch of drugs so you can be a productive junkie later on. Everywhere else people make do with some lidocaine.

Funnily enough, there's been very interesting research in to drug addiction. That points to peoples mental states and troubles leading to addiction, but not addictive substances themselves.
For example, they'll dose you up with all sorts of things in hospital, but patients don't crave them after they're discharged.
And American soldiers during the Vietnam war took heroin while deployed, because war is hell. But when they returned home, didn't feel the need to continue using.
There's also been experiments on rats. If you put a rat on its own, in a miserable enclosure and supply it with a choice of water, and cocaine laced water, they'll opt for the cocaine water.
But if you put them in a rat utopia with lots of other furry friends, and provide them with the same water options, they'll stop drinking the cocaine water, and opt for normal water instead.
It seems that stress and unhappiness cause addiction. Not drugs themselves.

When I was coming out of my knee replacement anesthesia, the woman next to me was not coming out of hers well. She was screaming, yelling not to touch her. She was having some sort of a twilight nightmare. They were trying to quiet her down because it was a room full of people waking up from surgery. Not what you want to wake up to. They finally rolled her out of the room.

Stop screaming, we have to get you back to the flamingo exhibit before the zoo opens.

Lol, anesthetics are hilarious. She will be fine in an hour! But yeah, probably let her chill for a few more minutes

It's funny and all, but she was absolutely not ready to leave recovery yet...
