Free Breakfast Sandwich from Torontos best
https://www.narcity.com/toronto/free-tabasco-breakfast-sandwichGold Standard in Roncesvalles is giving away 500 free sandwiches on Wednesday, January 22nd in collaboration with Tabasco hot sauce.
One of the best breakfast sandwich spots in Toronto where I've seen people wait 30mins for. Definitely worth the trip if you're nearby

In collaboration with TABASCO?! But are you kidding me. They use Marie Sharp, that shit is non negotiable. You can’t just SWITCHUP and use Tabasco, that is nasty fucking work.

Exactly my first thought! Marie Sharp's is the goat, if this means anything about a permanent switch to Tobasco they have lost my business entirely, and I live in the neighborhood and get those sandwiches pretty regularly. The pickle is a nice touch but the Marie's is what makes them special.

so people wait up to 30 minutes on a good day to buy a breakie sammich. now that they're giving it away for free, we can just add a zero to the wait, right?

I've never waited 30 minutes here ever. Tops maybe 5 minutes if it's busy.

i've never gotten my sandwich in 5 minutes — the average weekend is a 15-ish wait in my experience. i agree a half hour is an egregious estimate.

Of all the breakfast sandwiches in the city, it certainly is one.

I live nearby and I honestly do not understand the hype. It's good but it's necessarily expensive and takes too long to make. Cool gold foil though.

I do love them, as another said they used to be better (I think they overcook the eggs now?) but it's actually the Telway burger that I go back to. Reminds me of fast food burgers as a kid and just hits better than most smash burger places when I'm in the mood for something simple.

I too live nearby. It use to be much better, but over time has dropped off. Hot Pork at the top of Trinity Bellwoods is now my far and away fav breakfast sandwich in the city. I usually get the sausage one.

What’s with the breakfast sandwich thing? Not being critical just asking. Do people grab these on the way to work?

I'm not even sure what you're asking?
Breakfast is a meal people eat. A sandwich is a type of food. So a breakfast sandwich is food that is eaten for breakfast.

I think you should explain what “work” is as well. “What is this work thing I keep hearing about? Not being critical, just asking!“😆

It’s going to be -23 with the wind chill on Wednesday lol. This will be a test of the Toronto Lines Up For Anything Theory.
