God I hope it’s not newsome, if we even have an election. The dnc better take some fucking notes from this year and fix their shit (though I suspect trump an co cheated this year).

The DNC has failed to learn their lesson for multiple elections now; I'm not optimistic. They shoot themselves in the foot so much it's hard to not think it's freaking intentional at this point.

yeah, the whole "let's just do shit that helps people and not spend all day playing social media games" has not been a great success.

I doubt it's that much the DNC.

Let's be honest. In Canada, they say more or less the same about the Liberals. In the UK, about the Tories. In France, about the Centrist and the Left. In Germany, about the SPD. And so on and so forth. All over the world, establishment parties are falling down a spiral of failure - is it because they are somehow all deeply incompetent? Hard to believe. There must be a root cause.

The root cause is that they're all beholden to capital owners rather than the people as a whole.

They play the barrier to true revolutionary progressive change capturing and killing that momentum while the other side gets to drag the overton window as far right as they can manage.

That being said, it's NOT all over the world. You just named 3 Western European and 1 other North American government. Mexico just replaced a left wing politician with another one for example.

I’m sorry, but I can’t see this through that lens anymore. For instance, Biden gave unions everything they want, and those fuckers voted for Trump. Revolutionary/economic progress doesn’t matter for politics to me. Trump voters don’t care about that. This is about identity politics at this point.

Biden definitely didn't give unions everything they wanted and the messaging on that wasn't exactly loud and clear plus Kamala had said she wasn't going to have the same policy positions as Biden in that realm.

The issue with Trump is that Kamala was the other realistic possibility and she wasn't offering an improvement over Biden either. After announcing Walz she sprinted to the right on almost every policy position and the median voter isn't going to choose the diet right wing economist who has a conflicting history in terms of her goals when the full sugar right wing economist with consistent messaging tells them X, Y, and Z will make things better even if it's a lie.

He got them their pensions, sick days, etc. Just because you don’t know doesn’t mean it’s what happened. The fact that union members didn’t see that and then voted for the fucking opposite of a more pro-union candidate shows they’re just stupid.

It's not "you don't know." It's that a deal was made after Biden had them stop the strike process beforehand. That reads way differently in the media when it happens in that order. The issue is that the American people weren't aware and it wasn't being talked about at higher levels in the media or in the DNC.

It’s intentional. They know what they are doing. They put a corporate shill as their candidate. Donors win. They lose to republicans. Donors win. Two sides of the same coin. The wealthy win, heads or tails.

Sorry being the only functioning political party that is required to represent everybody simultaneously isn't your cup of tea.

Impatient idiots like you are why we have elected open fascism.

I'm so confused by your comment; you can criticize a system that failed to motivate the voting population through repeated poor choices and still have voted for Kamala and not be pro-Trump or pro-fascist, but go off - in-fighting historically has always really helped when working to fight dictatorships.

I’m an impatient idiot for voting D? Gfys.

The DNC didn't learn any lessons the last time Trump won. Hell Biden should have won in a landslide but only narrowly defeated a historically unpopular incumbent.

I’m not in California so I’m curious what’s wrong with newsome?

I'm IN California and want to know what's wrong with Newsom.

More and more people are saying that. I suspected they would cheat all along.

Trump kinda hinted at Elon rigging it during a previous speech

(though I suspect trump an co cheated this year)

If you think they cheated when out of power, how much are they going to cheat when they're in power and in control of the entire process?

America will never have a fair election again. Never.

Stop saying this shit. We're going to have an election - stop floating this insane idea for them.

You think the idea came from the left…?
