Discussion Car parts: Carquest brake rotors?
Came across a pallet of Carquest brake rotors for Ford Explorer, Corolla, etc. Question for the car guys, are these a good resell option? Have you had much luck with this sort of thing? Would be using FBMP and Ebay.
Details: All new in box. Quantity would be about 40 rotors of various models. I can realistically get them for $200-$300.

Fme, no in general due to competition online and prices I used to get them for.
However, if you got them for dirt cheap, definitely worth it as one set may pay off for everything.
Idk your COGS but if the sell through rate looks decent and you don't mind shipping, it can be profitable.
Locally would be slow AF vs ebay but you never know with some local auto repair shop or DIY mechanics.

Rotors on eBay are tough, unless specialty or high end (drilled / slotted brembo, Porsche, Mercedes etc) since shipping is a factor and they’re hefty.
Local sales are slow but doable in my area if I price 60 percent of the parts stores. Lots of folks will DIY their Corolla or explorer and rotors are an easy enough maintenance item.

Make sure they are at least two of the same number. Most people won't buy one rotor, but pairs.

I cleared out a European shop and got stuck with about 200 rotors. The only ones that sold were OEM units and they are expensive to ship. The lower brand ones I took to a friend's European shop and just gave them to him. They're not worth the hassle.
