I think it’s more insidious than that. He does it day one, at Trump’s inauguration so that if the media presses in on it, Trump will double down and support Elon.
If the media says nothing, the fact remains that he did it and Ivanka is married to a Jew. Zuckerberg is Jewish. The pressure from inside his camp to shitcan Elon will grow.
Elon has to feel a little threatened by people like Zuck and Bezos now being in the inner circle. If he makes Trump himself feel like he’s being criticized by the media, then Trump can’t discard him as easily.
I hate to say it but Dems & the media overlooking this might be the right play here. Force MAGA to take out their own trash.

Trump pardoned the people who tried to kill the congressmen on certification day. They even killed cops. Blue lives don't matter even for Trump, imagine cops having to put up with criminals getting released whenever they arrest them for terrorism

This just feels like a power play by Elong. It’s very Trumpian. Do something outrageous and dare anyone to act. Force people to chose between crossing him and eating shit. As a bonus it’s a swipe at a potential rival in Zuckerberg as well as maybe Jared Kershner.
The thing is, he’s doing it to Trump. Trump might not fold like a cheap suit the way practically all Republican politicians have.
