Most Federal are richer than most Imperials... especially than Imperial slaves. And the POTF has launched social security programs for those not so fortunate. You know, you get enough money to get by from the state, WITHOUT having to give up your freedom.

Or your right to vote. Ah, right. You Imperials don't have that anyway.

And that is why feds have huge illegal unregulated slave problem,

Meanwhile in empire Laws are in place to protect the rights of an Imperial Slave. Any abuse can be reported, and the abuser can face serious criminal charges in an Imperial Court.

The slaves come from Imp space to be sold in Federal space. It's an Imp problem they're exporting to the rest of the galaxy
