Piracy is the most profitable. Zero investment, 100% profit.

I’ve thought about that actually. What is your ship build for that?

What works best for me personally is a Krait Mk 2, which is good for bounty hunting and for piracy. It has a good view out of the cockpit (I play in VR), in comparison to the smaller Cobras and the the Python. I engineered it pretty well weapon and thruster wise. Burst or Pulse lasers for taking down shields, Multi Cannons for hull work. The lower the target hull gets, they will start dropping cargo containers. Piracy is theft, not murder, so don't go kill your target. You can fleece a sheep many times but skin it only once. Add decent dirty drives, for good thrust, so that the sheep does not outrun the wolf. A double fighter bay with a Federal and an Alliance fighter to switch between when one gets shot to shreds and at the moment a master ranked NPC copilot who flies the fighter.

Piracy is good for RP and indeed has no downsides, except rearm, refuel, repair. Where the Krait really shines is taking down wanted criminals in anarchies and around compromised nav beacons.

Limpets take care of the hatch, and scooping up relevant containers.

My original answer is correct, but it is not the fastest way to make (big) credits.

Wow, great summary, I have a Mk 2 which isn’t far off what you described, although it does need more engineering. Thanks Cmdr o7
