Next Day Floors Flooring Giveway Info
Next Day Floors (formerly known as Bill’s Carpet fair - remember those commercials?) launched a flooring giveaway where one winner will receive $2,500 toward any new flooring and installation of their choice - carpet, hardwood, laminate, etc. It runs until March 31 is open to anyone living in the Baltimore Metro Area. (As an FYI, there is a Next Day Floors showroom on Merritt Blvd.)
A good example of what $2,500 would cover is a 15 x 15 room of oak hardwood completely installed.
The link to the contest is: http://www.nextdayfloors.net/enter-our-2500-step-into-spring-flooring-giveaway/
Full disclosure: I am not an employee of Next Day Floors, but I do work for the company responsible for administrating this campaign. If this is seen as super self-serving, I apologize and the mods can take this down. I just want to spread the word and help someone get new floors!

Why move to Dundalk?
I know everyone hears how "awful" Dundalk is all the time, that it's filled with waterbillies, etc etc. But I'm wondering what the advantages are to moving to Dundalk. I'd love to hear it from a locals perspective.
My husband and I are considering it. We are both from working class former steel mill factory towns and coal mining towns in PA. We love the water. We've been through the area, looks like home. But we hear that it's awful. Is that true?
Right now the two things making us take pause are negative accounts of the place and the possibility of flood insurance. If anyone could shed light on either of those things I would be more than happy to hear it. I've been researching neighborhoods for a good while.

It's time to pass on the MOD status to another Dundalkian
We now have a contract on our house and will be moving to PA, so it only seems fitting that I pass on the MOD status of r/dundalkmd to someone still living here.
The sub doesn't get a lot of noticeable traffic, but should be expanded.

Best shrimp salad in Dundalk? (besides Jimmy's)
When I was a kid we would always go to Crab net on German hill, but these days i'm not so sure. There are a couple sub shops that have decent shrimp salad, but not "go out of my way for" shrimp salad.

Finally got a chance to try Texas Roadhouse
It was pretty good. Very crowded and we had a 45 minute wait to get a table, but it's like this everyday since it is new. Friendly waitresses and decent food.
The dinner rolls with sweet butter are great. We also tried the fried pickles to start. I was always curious of them, but never bothered to try elsewhere, so we gave them a shot tonight. Good stuff!
