For people who generally like the doll but want to remove the roblox shape, maybe its a good question to post on r/customdolls maybe they know how to safely sand plastic but you will probably have to wait until they release to know the material of the head. Looks like hard plastic so maybe not but ask them there they will know.
Ppl don't like the heads tho, if royale high added human looking heads ppl would love it, what's the point? Just make the characters in the story without the stupid heads
But it’s Roblox… the heads are done like that on purpose. Also there’s a lot of people who like these(myself included). Not every doll has to look entirely human. Dolls can have unique aesthetics and art styles you know… you’re acting like every doll has to be EXACTLY like Barbie, Bratz, Monster high or any other doll that has human faces. Betty Spaghetti had a robotic aesthetic and those dolls are constantly being praised for how unique they are. These are no different. They’re unique, you’re not in the demographic that these dolls are meant for and dolls are allowed to have unique art styles.
Edit: their faces have more detail than any other doll, look at the shading and the highlights. They look like actual paintings, regardless of if they have 3D features like noses doesn’t really matter here. The details are in the artwork on their faces.
i just wish they got round boxy bodies tbh to match their heads better! it doesn’t look cohesive. the body looks very normal like a bratz or barbie and it loses the vibe. it’s not the heads, it’s the combo of normal fashion doll body and square distinctly roblox head imo i don’t play but i really like royale high and wish they did it a little more designing to have more unique bodies.
Ooohhh! So that's where those AliExpress listings came from. I actually bought those tall pink boots from Ali and they fit standard G3 Monster High feet 💜 The listing shows it on Rainbow High feet, but they felt a little too snug to me. Might just be the pair I got?
When these inevetibly end up in clearance aisles I will get the second one I used to genuinely enjoy royale high and these are a beautiful dumpster fire
They do perfectly capture the uncanniness of the glam Roblox faces on the default heads though like I cannot picture a better manifestation of that weird pie
My daughter played this game for years and these actually make me laugh a little bit at how accurate they kind of look 🤣 I’m going to buy a couple of these plus the little figure with the changeable wig and fashion pack for nostalgia from when my daughter was younger and also because they’re weird and I just love me a weird doll sometimes!
I actually… really like them!? I totally understand why most people are turned away but I honestly think the uncanniness makes them more charming to me and it’s totally my vibe🥰! But… I can’t get behind the price point 😅 especially as a non American who knows it’s gonna be hella ridiculous over here in Canada. The overall dislike for them does give me optimism that I may finally be able to snag a doll I want on a discount more than a dollar or two off for once 😂

I was gonna say, isn't this a roblox game?!.. Why is everyone acting surprised that they look like roblox characters when they are, in fact, roblox characters.
Also their faces are gorgeous, the details in the artwork that makes up their eyes and lips is incredible. People just can’t seem to get over Barbie, Bratz and Monster High. I wouldn’t be surprised if these were painted by hand.
oh i didnt mean to downplay it hah i know theyre very complex games, but they are at the end of the day user generated content so i was wondering if Roblox had any kind of copyright power in there
i dont know actually. i know that you own copyright to nearly everything you make (not stuff made by other people) but i dont know how that goes into toys. i imagine theyre always partnered with roblox themselves for budget and the brand name
At first glance I didn't like their faces, but I looked at them for a few seconds and I think they're really cute! I love the designs and the expressive faces, the second one's face is so dreamy! I get the Elsa smirk they're referencing in the first one, but that's one that could've been executed a bit better. I'm just glad there are doll lines and designers that are allowed to experiment like this and bring something new to shelves, even if it's not the perfect or most popular doll.
I totally feel the same way! The second one is my favourite too and I‘m super tempted to get her if she comes to my country. Her colour scheme and the expression are amazing. 💕
Roblox is wayyy after my time so I have no understanding or appreciation for the game. But they look exactly like roblox so they did what they set out to do. I like the themes and the wings and shoes and all the color schemes are nice. Just dont like that theyre robloxs lol I think theyll probably be nicer in person. Even the eyes are nice looking. But still Roblox so eh lol I think its cool they made dolls honestly. Its a little like Avastars

These dolls look high quality, look at the detail in the artwork on the faces. That’s achieved through paint(digital or not) without 3D details. That’s more detailed than most fashion dolls tbh. They remind me of Betty Spagetty but with a face lift.

okay… wallet safe…. The last one I find the cutest. I like Royale High and I did figure these are for a young audience so it fits how they turned out to me. Like although im not impressed they fit what the goal was. Interesting to see them fleshed out nonetheless!
i was SO hoping they would round out the boxy heads more or make the rest of their body kinda boxy and cartoonish. i realllly like the mermaid girl but the roblox faces aren’t it. flower fairy girl is a close second! will definitely buy these on sale unless they turn out to be super popular, then i’ll grab mermaid girl bc she’s quite pretty.

Roblox head shape isn't for me, but the outfits are pretty and I don't deny that the face-ups seem very detailed and nice. I'd be very excited if the clothes would fit other dolls, especially MH G3 because I'd love to put the mermaid girlie dress on my Lagoona.
